We spent 4 hours here and were very pleased. The tour they offer after the movie is great and sets the stage of the railroad in CA. Plently of helpful, friendly volunteers and good history, trains, toys to see. Don't miss this museum.

Kids and old folks love this place. It's living history of trains... we loved it. Trains are filled with nostalgia and romance and Americana. Try the high speed simulator.

The RR Museum is a "must do" in Sacramento! Full size trains and locomotives fully-restoredand wonderful volunteers and exhibits to tell you about the glory days of the railroads. Look for the "lost spike".

Great to learn more about the history of the city. Educational tours are always encouraged within our family and the facility did a great job. Very happy we went through this time after time.

This is a fabulous railroad museum! California State Parks has done a first rate job with this facility. This is a must see for train aficionados! After visiting the museum there are plenty of other attractions nearby in Old Town Sacramento.

Well designed with extremely well trained docents. Mist of the actual trains were inside. Good educational displays thus museum also offers tours. We are glad we went.

I walked through it with my 5 year old grandson. He went through parts of it twice. We also watched the short movie and shopped in the gift store. It took about 2 hours, but you might not love it as much as we did! But, you... More
