Nice looking buildings, although you expect a more preserved sidewalks and areas outside the buildings. Lots of tourist traps and souvenir shops but some gems in between. Don't miss the candy stores, best salt water tuffy I tasted in a long time.

This is definitely the best part of Sacramento! A perfect place to spend a day(s) or hours learning about history, shopping, drinking good coffee, or just wandering around chatting with friends. I was amazed, and definitely recommend a visit.

Dirt roads and vintage storefronts add to the vibe. Nice place to just walk around and pop in to bars and restaurants as needed.Lots to chose from. We stayed on the Delta King converted riverboat hotel for an extra historical treat within walking distance.

Fun for a historical location. Very touristy. Lots of cute little shops, and little eatery's. Some of it overpriced, some of it not.

Fun little shops and bistros. Great railway museum. Cool costume shop. Mini-donuts made while you wait. Horse drawn carriages. Several candy stores. Food from fine dining to take away snacks. And LOTS of T-shirt places. Pleasant way to spend a day. Some places even validate...More
