Just ok.... BUT one of the few wineries we found where you can go to with a picnic lunch and eat outside. Has a cool view

My wife and I are members at Rutherford Hill and enjoy the ambiance of the winery and grounds as well their wonderful, moderately-priced reds. The tour is excellent with much of the tasting experience taking place in their extensive cave system. The grounds are also fabulous and are a great place to enjoy a picnic or to simply relax with... We were the first tour of the day on a Thursday. James was our host. He was welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable. This winery is unique with the beautiful hillside caves, but James really made the tour exceptional. We learned a lot, but it was balanced with not too much talking/information. We ended up doing a wine club and are... More

The winery had beautiful buildings and scenery! The view was the best view we had all day. We went on a tour and saw inside their cave- a unique and fun experience. The wines were good, we particularly enjoyed the Sangiovese. The wines weren't our favorite of the day, but the scenery is worth the visit!

My family name is Rutherford so this winery was a must stop for me. I joined their wine club in order to reduce the cost of the wine. It was pretty expensive but by NAPA standards I would say the prices were average. The wine was really really good, but the grounds and views were even more impressive.

The tour with Jimmie was very informative and enjoyable. We loved the barrel sample n cave tour. The wines were good but we passed on purchasing wine. We were probably tired but really enjoyed the tour.

My husband and I turned up for a tour and with it being late in the season we were the only ones on the cave tour. First of all I should start by saying the winery is set in the most stunning surroundings with excellent views, just worth going to see the views alone. Our guide Jimmy was great, friendly,... More

Awesome folks at this winery and very VERY good wines. Our pourer, Shelby, was very attentive and knowledgeable. Answered all our questions and was very generous with her pours. This was later in the day and we had started sharing our tastings. I don't remember how much it cost, but the Sangiovese was spectacular, and worth whatever the price was.... More

The winery is a large wooden structure from the 70ies, the tasting room rather small. One can book a tour through the winery that is worth while taking. The tasting is rather poorly organized, the order of the wines presented rather odd. Our host had barely any comment, too bad, because the wines were very good.

We visited 12 wineries in 3 days. Went here on Sun. 10/16. We had reservations at all 12, this place could not find ours. No onecwas there, and there was 8 of us. They were not friendly, seemed as if we were bothering them. They seemed put out that we arrived as the only other 2 people there were leaving.... More
