We took our two young (5 & 3 yo) grandchildren here. The kids loved it when the caretakers brought one of the Malayan Tigers out for a treat. It was fascinating being within 3-4 feet of a wild cat. This place is really a center for breeding endangered big cats. Peacocks roam the grounds and since it is breeding season,... More

The cats are beautiful! I felt conflicted as many of the cats were in small cages. Several cats were pacing and howling. They didn't seem comfortable however we were told it was near feeding time. Very small facility and shouldn't take more than one hour to see it all. Can't imagine what it would be like for the cats in... More

I love this place! You are close enough to big cats to hear them purr. Most were out where we could see them up close, but unfortunately the tigers were hiding and didn't come out while we were there. I can't wait to go back for the twighlight night in summer for an even better view. I also got some... More

I brought my 4 and 7 yr old kids here. They absolutely loved it. I however, have a couple of comments... One is that cats (big or small) are nocturnal by nature and the sanctuary is open usually from 10 AM to 4 or 5 PM. So when visitors are there, the cats are all napping, and at their least... More

Clearly the people here love their cats and are doing their part to preserve species. These are healthy animals in a beautiful facility. A real treat for visitors who can literally get within feet of happy, healthy big cats. The Cat House exceeded my expectations. I came away feeling like I'd really had a positive encounter with these animals. Making... More

I have probably been to "The Cat House" 50 times over the years. There is a wide variety of large and small wild cats, including 3 tigers. It's great to get so close with these animals! While it's rather quaint and a bit out of the way, it's fun to see these different types of animals. The volunteer staff is... More

I have never been this close to such large "Cats". Each one has it's own personality and they display it willingly. We were at the Twilight Tour. Loved watching the Cats play and perform by all their antics. I want to go back for a Infared Tour, to see them after dark. Can't wait to go back. It is hot... More

Who knew there were so many different varieties of Big Cats? This small zoo is wonderful for getting a fairly close look at all kinds of cats. The volunteers are well educated and obviously very dedicated. I love all the walkways and shade trees... EFBC breeds some of the cats for the preservation of the species, working with other zoos...
