The Marina Bay Trail is part of the San Francisco Bay Trail system that will eventually completely connect up and loop around the bay. This section of the SF Bay Trail is very well-maintained by the city of Richmond (both the trails, facilities, and landscaping) with beautiful views of the Richmond Marina and San Francisco Bay, including Brooks Island, Angel... The trail is part Marina and a children's play area. Great for walks, bicycles, skates and running. The scenery is so peaceful and calming. This is the place to be after a rough day. There are benches and tables for picnic's as well as just sitting and enjoying the views. It also has 2 large parking lots. Free! Walk your... More

The Marina Bay Trail is one of the best waterfront trails around! It's clean, wide, smooth with lots of wild flora and fauna. Eventually the Richmond Bay Trails will all connect and be a great outing for the fit and choosy. The only thing missing, imho, is a great cafe looking out on the views with simple, tasty food and... The best walk along the bay in the East Bay is in Richmond on the Marina Bay Trail. The views of the bay and San Francisco across the water are superb and the trails are wide enough for strolling and cycling together. A perfect spot for relaxation any day of the week with plenty of parking at various locations.

This wide, paved trail stretches from the trailhead at Central avenue all the way to the old Ford Assembly plant. It mostly hugs the shoreline and also offers a view of the marshes fronting the SF bay. Everyone is courteous and shares the trail, including dog walkers (provided they are leashed)...The views of the bay, city and Marin headlands are... More

Marina Bay is a great place to take a walk along the coastline of the bay. Here you find views of San Francisco and Oakland. There are active marshes with many types of birds. if you want to connect with the bay, this is a great place to do it.

Love this trail as I live near it. It is predominantly right along the water and always clean and you get beautiful views of the bay(eg. Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, SF skyline, Oakland/Berkely hills etc). Very family friendly. People walk, jog, run, bike, skate on this trail. You pass by a boat marina, and some parks along the way, including... More

I have traversed MBT by bike quite a number of times. It is flat, has it many turns and vistas that can be enjoyed from different angles whether you look at the East Bay hills, the San Francisco skyline, Marin County and Mt. Tam or the Bay Bridge. There are many entry points, and, therefore, parking possibilities. It takes you... More

I discovered this on an accident by turning down the wrong street. It is truly beautiful. Great place to walk, fish, or just enjoy the bay area scenery. You can see approximately two of the bay areas bridges at all times. Breathtaking really!!!!!
