As you leave the Point Arenas Lighthouse, the entrance to the Coastal National Monument is just 100 yards down the road. There is hardly anything to identify it, just a small parking lot and wood gate, and from the gate there is little to suggest...More

Awesome new park with great ocean side trails and super fresh air. We had a picnic and some wine as it was a rare day without wind. Happy we had a designated driver so we could enjoy the wine.

So much to do and see with only one week we defiinitely have to go back. It was spectacular coastline and humbling Redwood forest hikes.

Stornetta was added to public lands in 2014 thanks to President Obama. The trailhead is down the road from the Point Arena lighthouse. There's parking space for about 5-6 vehicles. I took the trail in late April the day after a night's rain which left...More

Easy walking path along the cliffs and stunning views! I have never seen coastline as pretty as what we saw in this area of California. There's a lighthouse down the road too, so lots to explore and see.

Including a Port-a-Potty. Which can come in handy. The walk up the lighthouse steps will cost a few bucks but is well worth it. The gift shop is warm and full of kitschy items and clothing. Very fun. But it's the trails and coastal views...More

Take the time to connect with this gorgeous location. Beautiful natural, untouched coastal location. I must do when visiting Sea Ranch.

maybe tough rough terrain parking sometimes but well worth it. several trails along coast and you wouldn't have to go far for fantastic views of the dramatic coastline here. Colors on the rock formations with waves crashing off them are part of the draw to...More

From the resort, less than two miles (four roundtrip) or just to the ocean and back two miles roundtrip. Beautiful ocean views.

Loved walking/hiking here. Pretty easy, but you can walk for miles and miles. Great scenery. Windy. Waves crashing against the rock formations. Lots of fog, but beautiful.
