Nice Experience
Jul. 2021
Wine flights nicely presented. Snacks available for purchase which are nice to pair with the wine tastings. We enjoyed the wines. Modest tasting fee waived with bottle purchase.

One Winery in Amador you should definitely visit
Apr. 2021
Andis is a very professionally run operation, and they are well staffed to deal with an influx of visitors. They have an outstanding outdoor area for tasting with tables with big umbrellas to shield you from the midday sun. The setting overlooks a broad expanse of their vineyards, and is a beautiful panorama. They offer a nice array of appetizers for purchase to complement your tasting experience. Like everything in California its all a bit pricey , but still worth an hour or two of your time while touring this wine making area. Their wines are of course, very good including some Zins and Barbera's, but they also have large array of whites, and some out-of-the-way blends you don't meet often. If you go to Amador place this should be on your list.

Received my half case of a variety of wines about a month ago. It came just in time during quarantine! My favorite was the Semillon, Bill Dillian. It was an awesome, crisp white wine that paired perfectly with some Alaskan King salmon I had for dinner! An employee named Devin suggested some new wines to try, and all of them were fantastic! Can’t wait to try some of their other hand crafted high end wines.

I had just finished my last bottle of 2012.

Needed to come back to see if any of their current releases were as good as their 2012. Purchased some Painted Fields 2016. Painted Fields is a red blend and found a few others that we liked. Also a Christmas present for Pamela, an Abalone Shell ring that fit the finger perfectly as she showed me. She is always on the lookout for things she likes and she shows good taste. In this writer’s opinion anyway.

Beautiful modern building, tasty wines
Aug. 2019
The tasting room has a lovely view of the surrounding vineyards and is large and comfortable. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The wines are good. The tasting fee, $10, is on the high side, but can be offset against a bottle purchase.

Dogs...Sort of Welcome
May 2019 • Couples
Set in a building with modern architecture, there is plenty of parking and tesla charging station and non-tesla charging station for your cars. Unfortunately the regular charging station was not working while we were there. The weather was very chilly and somewhat rainy, so when we walked in the front door and told our dog was not welcomed indoors but welcomed at the back patio, we were a little disappointed. They opened the back window and let us bring the table and chairs to the window opening and they brought a blanket out for us. They said they cannot have dogs inside because they sell cheese and meats, “Everything you need to make a charcuterie plate.” The wine was OK and tastings were $10 each.

Great casual vibe

We were on our way back from South Lake Tahoe, taking the backroads, and thanks to Lonely Planet, we decided to stop in and try the wine. Rebecca was a lot of fun and really knowledgable. All of the reds were good but the Old Vine Zin was a winner. It also turned out they had a pasta food truck there so we bought a bottle, ordered the Fettuccine Bolognese and sat outside to enjoy. There was plenty of seating and we found a table with a view of the hills. They had bocce ball as well as corn hole so there was something for everyone. Great stop and we look forward to coming back.

Several nights ago, opened a 2009 Painted Fields, DELICIOUS
Dec. 2017 • Solo
After tasting that, I had to head back to see what was currently available for purchase. I was alone in the tasting room on Christmas Eve morning, greeted by three very lovey women who were available to help me select and pour. I tried a few, all in my opinion needed more time to age. But I am prepared to do that. So I picked up a 2013 GSM and another, a 2104 Painted Fields. I will rate those in a time in the future. The very modern Winery in steel and glass looks out from it’s position on the hill top. Parking is easy and very accessible to the tasting room. With purchase of 1 bottle, the tasting fee is waived. I do not get up to this area very often, so this is a treat.

Potential but not there
Sep. 2017 • Couples
Staff was preoccupied and left us standing there even after we finally got started. Not our cup of tea and wines were not to our liking.
