Still the best

Jeff Runquist is the best winemaker in the area. He does not grow his own so he can use the grapes he wants. Their Cab Fanc is very good.

It's the Wandering Yank here. Mrs. Yank and I recently visited the wine country for the Crush weekend and visited 11 wineries in 2 days. Time to give my liver a rest.... This was one of the better ones. A pleasant and spacious tasting room, friendly staff and pretty good wine. We bought one, Aglianico I believe, which we have... More

Every person I spoke to about Plymouth wineries recommended Runquist. I normally avoid wineries located right on the highway because many of them rely upon easy tourist traffic rather than quality wine, but Runquist is not one of those places. The wine maker sources his grapes from several appelations rather than splitting his time between farming and wine making. We... More

Wines are always top notch. I have never tried a Jeff Runquist wine that wasn't good. Love it and highly recommend it. The Runquist Cooper Barbera is my all-time favorite.

Maybe I was spoiled by a recent napa experience and some great vineyards in the area (like Cooper) but I found the experience to be just ok. I did enjoy the wine, for sure - no question about it some nice blends available. Friendly helpful staff, yes. There is just something about a winery that produces and processes it own... More

A friend had to leave me on this winery, knowing that I was coming to the gold country. I got there five minutes before closing, but they accommodated me and my friend unhesitatingly. we tasted six ones in less than 20 minutes or impressed by all of them, and thrilled by a couple. My favorite was what they call Primitivo.... More

Good wines, nice pours & accommodating staff. Knowledgeable about the grapes & the source. Relaxing, not hurried . Open room with nice patio and lots of parking.

We arrived and the exterior of the building was very nice, and the parking lot was packed. We walked in and were told with a blank stare from the man pouring, "If you don't want red wine, you might as well go someplace else down the road" Without any suggestions of course. Rude! We did! And found a comfortable kind... More

We've were here a few years ago and had a decent experience. I've continued to buy their wines at my local Nugget market from time to tome. We thought we'd stop in on a recent Sunday afternoon and give the tasting room another try. The tasting room had two separate areas, both of which were packed. Nobody was interested in... More

Some of the best wines around...and great value too. The weekend member barbecue was such a great deal. Great food--lamb, ribeye, brisket, and salmon. Club membership is definitely the way to go?

Thank ssjr
