About
Borjón Winery produces premium wines from some of the state's most renowned vineyards. Providing the valley with labor services since 1991, the Borjón's had always enjoyed the taste of wine and had always dreamt of having a winery of their own. Seeing first hand the tremendous growth in the valley, and the addition of so many wineries only added to the desire of one day being winery owners.

Very competent service

The folks here really know their stuff. The wines are interesting, some only in very small badges and from old vines.

Amador County Winery tour must do
Aug. 2019 • Couples
First time in Amador county sampling the local wineries. So many excellent choices, but I have to say Borjon was the best that we sampled. Everything was top notch. Thanks to Derek, at Andis (another great local winery) for the recommendation.

Fun place and reasonably priced wines.
Aug. 2019 • Couples
Our 4th year visiting Amador County wineries (en route from a South Lake Tahoe stay and home to Monterey Bay area). We love staying at the Sutter Creek Hotel.
We visited 4 wineries on Shenandoah Road this day.
Other wineries visited Young's, Amador Cellars, Scott Harvey.
We enjoyed our host and there were lots of wine club members visiting too. The wines are good and reasonably priced.
The reasonable $5 tasting fee is waived with a bottle purchase.
We bought Barbera Reposado ( $25) and Zinfandel Reposado ($25).
They have quite an impressive Tequila display too!

Hidden Gem of Amador!
Mar. 2019
Tucked away as you pass through the Amador wine region, you will find Borjon, which houses some exceptional wines, from a high end cab to varying levels of Barbera. The wines are authentic and typically there is one wine at each winery I may not care for; however here, it’s a struggle to not find something enjoyable.

They were sold out of a couple of wines, which is not quite a bad problem to have at all. Highly recommend!!!!

Borjon home to excellent regional wines/ look for Los Portales
Mar. 2018 • Couples
We have visited and tasted at Borjon for a few years- their wines are well crafted from prime vineyards. They also produce the Los Portales line of Spanish varietals which are a good deal. As a vineyard manager he gets top quality fruit for his wines. Stop and taste you will not be disappointed.

Great Zinfandel!
Sep. 2017 • Couples
We came on a Monday so it was quiet and we were the only people tasting. There were 3 different tastings available, $5, $10 and $15 depending on which wine you tried. I tried the $10 tasting and loved the Zinfandel. The tasting room also shows off the Borjon family's tequila collection which was interesting and they have 3 beautiful saddles on display which were really unique. I would definitely come back again.
