Great wine and conversation
Feb. 2020
So friendly and fun! Four ladies stopped for a tasting because it was recommended by another tasting room and it was a wonderful surprise! Not especially fancy looking, but we bought several of their wines. They were so good. Will was our server and super knowledgeable and just plain fun! We really enjoyed talking about food with the wine too. One of our group had never been wine tasting before and now she's hooked!

Perfect Late Afternoon Snack

We stopped at this unassuming, cozy vineyard for a tasting on our way to the airport. Our host was welcoming and really knew his stuff. We tasted several wines and decided we liked the Barbera. So we purchased some and sat on the deck under the trees and enjoyed the wine and the cheese & charcuterie board. Would go back.

Great little place on a beautiful ride through wine country
Jul. 2019
The wine tasting was great with a very friendly server (forgot her name). The ambiance and view were great. I didn't buy any but that may just have been my taste. If you are driving by, definitely stop in.

Hidden Gem!
Oct. 2017 • Couples
We've been to many wine tastings in several countries but the tasting here has to be one of the best. Hopefully you'll have Mitch to serve and entertain you. He made the tasting experience top notch. He's extremely knowledge about wines and vineyards in the area. We left with a couple bottles of Mourvèdre and plan on stopping on our way back through. Highly recommend this as your go to place while on the Eldorado Wine Trail!

Great wine on a painfully hot day
Jun. 2017 • Friends
We made this our first stop in a long day of wine tasting. It was during the late June 2017 heat wave. We had a nice tasting, with great assistance. Our favorite was the 2014 Barbera. After the tasting, we grabbed a few bottles along with our 8 friends - two that are members, and went outside under the tents. The misters weren't working right and we all got soaked! It was so hot and dry out, that we dried off quickly.

Good wine

This is better than average winery having good solid reds and good Chardonnay at a score of 1-10 I would rate around 8.5. The place and area is beautiful and this definitely work stopping. I would also recommend Chateau Davell, and Illuminaire down the road. Overall Jodar is solid and better than many in the area.

Wine tasting
Nov. 2016
We went here and tried some amazing wines. The grounds are beautiful, with a wrap around porch overlooking the vineyards. They have an area that would be lovely for a small wedding under Oak Trees. The wines were a little more expensive than other wineries we visited in the area, but priced competitively with Napa Valley. I really liked the Foothill winery area and am planning a trip back in April for an event featuring all the local wineries.

Mitch is the BOMB!! Love the wine. Love the experience. Highly recommend. Bought the barbera and port, which says a lot since I don't usually like port.

We find ourselves here all the time! Mitch has so much enthusiasm for the wines he has you taste. He is so much fun and goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great time at Jodar. Machelle is an incredible chef and puts so much thought into her pairings. You always run into Bill the winemaker or Vaughn the owner and his wife and all of them make you feel like you're family!
