My friends, husband , sister and I visited Hangtown’s Gold Bug Park few months ago and tremendously enjoyed our visit. There was a hike trail that added to our enjoyment of Mother Nature.

Interesting visit, if you have not been to a mine, go for sure. Many mines to visit in Amador County too.

I took my grandchildren and we had lots of fun. Lots of steps and walking with steep hills. Parking not the best but is part of the appeal. Glad we visited for sure.

It's not a long walk, so your toddler should do fine. My kids didn't have to wear a hard hat since they were so short. It's based on heights.

No discounts, the park is free. The mine is $6 for adults.
