Good times. Fun place for a great wedding. Nothing over the top here. Staff did a good job, everything ran smoothly. I would like to explore Pioneertown more next time I visit the area.

Interesting buildings but make sure to check the day you plan to visit on their web page. Go on event days like a concert or cowboys fighting in the streets. Otherwise it is pretty quiet and some stores may be closed.

The weather had gotten windy and we cut our trip short so arrived at Pioneer Town before it opened. People were arriving and looking around in the cold wind. We didn't stay long but hope to return in the spring. It was a holiday Monday...More

Pioneertown is very close to Yucca Valley (maybe a 20 minute drive). Going through the road to get there was gorgeous, with beautiful homes and rock formations. The main road does a loop, so it could be even a bit more of a drive if...More

Pioneertown is relatively small. There are some old-style buildings there, but all but one was closed when we were there during the week. It presents some photo ops, but other than that is somewhat boring, unless you're there on the weekends, when I presume more...More

Although this town would not draw me to the desert, I am so happy we made the short trip to spend some time here. It is a blast from the past and really feels alive still and an old western could be filmed at any...More

As I walked down the main street of pioneertown, I couldn't help but wonder: why is this place not more well-known? Established in the early 1940s to serve as both a functional town and a movie set for westerns, this place looks like it has...More

Walked around before eating dinner at pappy & Harriet's. Some of the stores were actually open, and there was an older cowboy gentleman showing people how to rope a saddle. Lots of photo ops, for sure! We drove further down Pioneertown road as the sun...More
