My wife has been wanting to visit this attraction for awhile now and we finally made the time and drove up during the week between Christmas and New years. This is a privately run operation that takes in rescues and other unwanted animals from owners or wildlife officers who cannot otherwise place the animal. Our tour was provided by Joel,... More

It is off the beaten path. You have to take a dirt road to the sanctuary but it's totally worth it. Book the guided tour at least 24 hours in advance. We had Margaret as our tour guide. She was nice and knew so much about all the animals. Our favorite was Princess Diana the white tiger.

It was a hot day and when we arrived the tours were cancelled because they said it was too hot. So we basically walked around and looked at the animals in the cages. The sloth was the favorite. It was interesting seeing the rescued animals.

First, it is not a large facility. For us that was great, we spent a couple of hours and moved on with our day. This is an animal rescue, they are all here because they are not equipped for the wild. Take the tour and spend the extra to feed. They could use the extra donation, and even though it... More

We went with family to see snakes & big cats in particular. We had the sweetest & most articulate 12 yr old for a guide. Her knowledge & demeanor for her age superseded anything we could have expected. The children had such a great time learning about the snakes & we didn't feel rushed at all. The undivided attention was... More

This facility is wonderful. Located in a remote part of Phelan, I would highly recommend a visit for young and old

Had a great visit here. Can get close to some awesome animals and they do good work here. Not a large facility but a good variety on animals there. Can feed the big cats for $10......well worth it!! I would imagine it would be very hot out here in the Summer. We went in May and the weather was perfect.... More

There was a mix up in the scheduling for our field trip, and even though they weren't expecting us, the staff did a wonderful job. I can't express my thanks enough for all they did. This is a awesome place, and it is obvious the staff truly cares. We had a great time and will be back. Thank you!

If you want to take your family to a place that caters to both the animals and the visitors than put this on your list. Not one of your normal collections of wild/exotic animals.

My son is 3 and this place was perfect for him. My wife and I found this place on Groupon and it was worth it. Cheap and exciting. There is quite a bit to see and it is a very safe environment!

Thank Marshall C
