My husband is fascinated by tigers. So rather than make the trip to Tiger Island in Australia, we went to Forever Wild in Phelan. We toured with friends -- it's self-guided. But the highlight was getting to feed Princess, the white tiger! There's an extra...More

We booked a tour at noon and were very happy with the information from the docent. The docent also knows how to get the animals to interact more. It was great seeing tigers and lions and cheetahs up close! Mostly less than 10 feet away....More

Enjoyed all the big cats! Also had, snakes, birds and many other animals from desert region. Visit if you later in the day or after sunset. When it is cooler animals are more active.

It is off the beaten path. You have to take a dirt road to the sanctuary but it's totally worth it. Book the guided tour at least 24 hours in advance. We had Margaret as our tour guide. She was nice and knew so much...More

It was a hot day and when we arrived the tours were cancelled because they said it was too hot. So we basically walked around and looked at the animals in the cages. The sloth was the favorite. It was interesting seeing the rescued animals.

First, it is not a large facility. For us that was great, we spent a couple of hours and moved on with our day. This is an animal rescue, they are all here because they are not equipped for the wild. Take the tour and...More

We went with family to see snakes & big cats in particular. We had the sweetest & most articulate 12 yr old for a guide. Her knowledge & demeanor for her age superseded anything we could have expected. The children had such a great time...More
