Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I really love their wines. The tasting room has a lovely fireplace, local art. The pourers are knowledgeable, friendly, down to earth. This winery is one we never miss when we are in the area. (I buy this wine for Christmas presents.)

This is a very nice winery on the Union Road Winery Trail. It is family owned, and you will usually be treated by one of the friendly owners, Tealy and Greg Barr. They have a variety of wines you are sure to enjoy. The tasting room also hosts very interesting works of art by local artists. The are open on weekends to treat you.

Barr's a relatively new winery in Paso and it's worth the stop when you are driving down Union Road. Union Road itself probably has 10+ wines on a road no more than 5 miles long. Barr is a winery you will not want to miss. We stopped by late Friday afternoon and we greeted by the owners. Nice folks, super nice wine and very lovely tasting room. Pretty average priced for the area, teens to $20's. I don't think anything over $30 so grab a bottle or two when you stop on in and enjoy.

We loved this place! This was our last stop on the wine Wrangler tour. This small and intimate Tasting Room with the family that does everything itself was a breath of fresh air. Great wines and great people! Highly recommended!!!

We loved meeting the owner of this family owned winery. Forget her name but she was warm and rightly proud of these wines. Really lovely tasting. Interesting Malbec rose and red blends. Loved, loved the Malbec. Also purchased the Dark Dane (lots of juicy dark fruit) named after various Great Danes they have owned. Great last stop to our trip. Also fun, they showcase a local artist (this rotates) but the one we saw had painting of California coast and paso vineyards.

We crossed upon Barr by accident after visiting Steinback and one of the guys in the tasting room recommended Barr to us. We were pleasantly surprised! All the wines here are excellent. They have a few unique ones that are not common in Paso, including an outstanding Malbec, and a Malbec Rose that is just delicious! The owner was serving us personally, telling us stories about the wines and her and her husbands "retirement". What an awesome way to retire, but she told us it is a LOT of work and not really retirement. :) I highly recommend this place, the prices are a bit more reasonable then some others nearby, with most wines being in the $25 range.

Everyone goes to the big wineries and they don't always have the best wines but they look great. This is a small winery on a small budget that has very good tasting red wines. It is family run and small but it is the only winery in the area where I enjoyed every wine that I tasted and we have been to many wineries in the past. The prices were also reasonable. You won't find these wines in stores. We went there by a recommendation at another winery and were pleasantly surprised.

I have been to Barr multiple times and I go for the nice people and the wine. Tasting room is simple, but good size. Family run tasting room, which I always like. They tend to know more out their own wine and winery. I have showed up with family members and just my wife on different occasions. Wine is all good, but their best is the Jubilado. I have gone back just to buy more of this wine. My next favorite is the Rose. Great price, and very good. They have other really good wines as well, their Malbec is my 3rd favorite. They were also tasting olive oil last time I was there.

On a side road off Highway 46 - some good wine. Pretty location, with a bunch more wineries nearby - great for a sip.
