My visit to Dunning Vineyards was amazing. The wine tasting room is very small, but the wines were excellent. I am not a white wine person but I really liked their chardonnay. After tasting, My Bob escorted us up the hill to the private villa. It is right next to their main house, but we felt like we had full privacy. It was very beautiful and breathtaking. My boyfriend I did not want to leave the next morning. They left breakfast in the fridge for us, but they also had teas, coffee, and a few other amenities. We already booked our next visit for September. I can't wait to return.

We love off-the-beaten-path wineries and this fits the bill perfectly. Situated on the west side of Paso wine region the drive will take you a long way in on a dead end road shaded by huge oak trees before coming to a clearing with a few houses and a very small wine-tasting room with a cell phone and instructions on how to call the owners. We did that and waited just a few moments outside observing the wild turkeys nearby in an open field. According to the owner, every night the turkeys parade(single file) past the wine-tasting building into the center of the compound and fly up into the trees to avoid predators. The friendly owner took time to explain their personal story of how they moved from LA to Paso Robles many years ago with their then, 1-year-old son. Ask them about it, very interesting story.
The wines were very good and reasonably priced. We bought a couple bottles to take with us. The owners also own two properties that they rent, one more rustic and the other a private tuscan-style villa. We were struck by the entire compound and laid-back vibe, sort of a throwback to the 70's. Large, mature trees would provide ample shade in summer with adirondack chairs around a fire pit just outside the tasting room. We were glad we made the drive, our kind of place and people. Deer were just past our window, very rural and scenic drive. Definitely will return!

We came in on a cancellation and I am so pleased that we were able to check out the Dunning Vineyard. We made it right before 5 p.m. to enjoy a wine tasting before heading up to the private villa. The owners were friendly and quite proud of their winery. The villa itself was amazing. Comfortable king bed, breakfast area, amazing bathroom with large shower, relaxing whirlpool tub with amazing views. Plus, the breakfast left in the mini fridge was delicious! Highly recommend staying here if you are looking to spend time in Paso Robles - just a short drive into town.

I like to visit smaller and more out of the way wineries. Some times the best tasting experiences happen when you get to meet the people one on one and enjoy their wares. Dunning just strikes me as a little too small, a little too out of the way, and honestly I didn't see anything that really impressed me. Sorry.
Some of the coolest wine experiences and the best wine I've had at Paso have been at these small stops. I just was not all that impressed with the product, especially for their prices.

We had a wonderful trip to this vineyard and staying there, It was beautiful to wake up and see vines and trees. The couple who run the tasting shop were lovely Joanna took care of us the first night:)
I found the password to the wifi and put in with the spaces and it will work. We had great reception on our ipads and phones.
There is a very large patio to sit outside and enjoy some wine! They have glasses, cups, plates etc to use.
The suite has very low ceilings in the bathroom and bedroom but my 6 foot husband was okay with it:) The breakfast was continental with yogurt, oatmeal microwave, english muffins, has a keurig with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and even decaf.
The only downfall was urber is 30 dollars to come to you as it is off the beaten path of the highway. We walked to the highway which was a little over 2.5 miles as the weather was perfect. Uber was then 10 dollars to take us into town. We with tasting wine did not want to drive. We are walkers so that was okay. Parking was easy, The tasting room at location is very very small.

We visited here on recommendation of a friend. It is definitely off the beaten path. The tasting room is very cozy, perfect for four. There is a patio where you can lounge and reflect on your day with a lovely view. The owner poured the wines so you get more background on how they started than you would at other places.

Up in to the hill of Paso Robles wine country the Dunning Vineyards B&B Villa sits overlooking Vineyards with views toward The mountain a kind of feel like you wish your family Owned. But in Dunning vineyards your wishes can be granted For a short time. This is a lovely B&B with lovely peaceful location so if you like peace and quiet and intimate feel this is the place.

We arrived around 3ish on a Friday afternoon. Bob the owner and his wife were both inside the tasting room. Very friendly welcome. Since we were staying in the guest villa we received a free tasting of wine. We tasted 4 wines and all were yummy. Bob was super nice and explained where the grapes were grown,,even gave us some suggestions on where to go for dinner. After wine tasting we followed him up the the Villa. The view is amazing!!! We stepped inside the villa and it was super cozy. There was nice music playing on the TV. Bob showed us where everything was in the villa and how to use it even gave us great instructions on how to hook up the the internet. I have a dairy allergy so I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were dairy free muffins, two fruit bowls and dairy free milk in the fridge for breakfast...oh and the quiche was in there for my husband. Bob even went above and beyond to bring us a bucket of ice and an extra blanket. When you walk in there is a king bed (super comfy) small kitchen table flat, screen tv and a small kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave and everything you need to feel at home..tea, coffee, cookies, oatmeal, chocolates, wine glasses, plates, bowls and everything else you could think of. The bathroom has a two person jacuzzi (there is a water softener so it did get slippery so be careful) it overlooks the vineyard and it is lovely. There is a separate big shower, and and toilet. I love that there was just extra special touches like body wash and full size bar of soap and larger then trial size shampoo and conditioner and extra lotion. Also in the armoire there is plenty of hangers, tylenol, advil, sewing kit, nail kit and too much more to list. There is a beautiful patio with two small chairs and small table in the corner and also a bigger table with two chairs and an umbrella, and a small water fountain and a beautiful view. We were very comfortable there and wish we could have spent more then one night there. We can't wait to go back. It was just so relaxing and peaceful.

We reserved a room here at random and couldn't have been happier. Very nice couple own the place and we stayed in the villa on the hill. Extremely clean, comfortable & scenic. They also had prepared coffee cake and quiche for us which was in our fridge when we checked in. Oh...and the wine was excellent as well! Would definitely stay again.

When I first came here for a wine tasting, I could not believe how good their wines are. When I saw the prices they charge for their wines, I was even more amazed! Definitely, the quality and taste of Dunning Vineyards wines very much exceed their price. Simply the best! Needless to say, we became their wine club member and bought a few cases of their wines since then. Many thanks to Bob & Jo-Ann for your helpfulness and friendliness.
