Super rude staff!!!!
We had our two dogs with us so I waited near the car with them while my husband went inside to enquire about tasting. They have a very strict rule about no dogs which we totally understand and respect. My husband asked about the wines they would recommend for tasting and asked how those wines were available for 2/3rd the price on Vivino and Wine.com. To which their staff replied “go but it from there”, if you are fleecing paying customers who visit your cellar by charging more, either have the grace to acknowledge the same or explain how you you sell at the cellars is different. Only winery in Paso Robles where we have experienced this kind of attitude!

We booked a reservation at Pear Valley because they mentioned offering outdoor tastings on their website. However, when we arrived, they refused to seat us outdoors because it had rained earlier in the day & was still a little cloudy. Total bummer! We left & went to Bianchi instead. They were happy to seat us outside without a reservation even though it was a Saturday! We’d recommend Bianchi & avoiding Pear Valley where the staff clearly don’t care if their clientele contract BA.2.

Came here on a recommendation from another winery and it did not miss the mark. For us, winery excelled in their whites and has a wide range of Muscats. Great flavors and varieties.
The ports were also on point! There were three varieties and the all hit it out of the park. They are great!
The merlot was also OUTSTANDING!
Out tasting was led by a very knowledgable staff member. She was able to help steer us in our choices by our response to earlier tastings.
Wonderful room and venue on the top of a hill. It would be a great small wedding venue.

New favorite. Stopped by on a recommendation from a friend and loved it. Charming Winery with great wine, good snacks and a super informative and friendly sommelier. Located in Paso Robles along one of the main roads, it was easy to find and worth the trip. The tasting is at comfortable tables on a beautiful patio. Loved the We will be Aglianico and Viognier. We will be back.

I don't drink but my companions do. I learned so much in our three hours at this beautiful location that I might start! The owner Kathleen was wonderful to meet and gave us an amazing tour and explanation of all they do. It was the highlight of our trip.

Owner Kathleen Maas and manager Marina Dawson were UNBELIEVABLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DOWNRIGHT RUDE. I am heartbroken to write this as we were so in love with our wedding venue, however, after experiencing the poor treatment that we all just went through, I thought it only right to warn other Brides as I know how stressful this process can be (and reviews helped us tremendously throughout the planning process).
Not only did this venue BACK OUT OF DOZENS OF THINGS LAST MINUTE that were PREVIOULSY AGREED UPON (i.e. during cocktail hour the owner SNARKILY decided that they would not open/pour champagne at the bar when I had confirmed again IN WRITING the week prior that they would– so I personally went to the kitchen to open bottles for my guests), they DIDIN’T ALLOW GUESTS TO USE THE RESTROOM before the ceremony (including older family members saying “You’re not my guest and need to leave immediately),” but they TREATED US SO INCREDIBLY POORLY including OUR VENDORS (who told me they WILL NEVER WORK HERE AGAIN), and ALL of my family / friends who helped that day (even my sweet grandmother)– all of which was UNWARRENTED.
After reading a previous bad wedding review online, I went out of my way to be nothing but kind to every single person at Pear Valley because I didn’t want the owner Kathleen to spoil our day as she had with a previous bride who reviewed them. I was COMPLTELY TAKEN ABACK & SHOCKED that anyone could be that RUDE & INCONSIDERATE to anyone LET ALONE A BRIDE/GROOM about to get married.
There were SO MANY HEAD ACHES LEADING UP TO THE WEDDING (like finding out on my own 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE WEDDING that the manager had switched again (which they are known), and STARTING OVER with every single detail that was previously agreed upon (such as having a bottle of wine on each dinner table so every guest didn’t have to get up and go to the bar individually once they sat down to dinner, and not being able to decorate the 1 single table in the tasting room until after the ceremony start time leaving us with no one to do it)– were all so simple yet SO DIFFICULT TO GET them to agree to (ALL OF WHICH WAS ALREADY AGREED UPON WHEN WE BOOKED).
The DOWNRIGHT MEANEST EXPERIENCE was my DENIED REQUEST to print my misplaced vows just 20 minutes before the ceremony. I literally couldn’t believe that they said no & “If I get around to it”… “I’m too busy to print them,” – WHILE STANDING JUST 10 FEET FROM THE PRINTER! WOW…who does that?? We also had nearly a case of left over white wine with cracked seals and bugs in them when we got home. They weren’t used, not even a single drop, and now we have to throw them away. It had to be intentional…and JUST PLAIN MEAN! We bought $2k worth of wine, hoping for some left overs but it appears it was a mistake to leave it all in their hands.
If you book this venue – all I can say is you will have a beautiful venue but TERRIBLE CUSTOMR SERVICE & STRESS. There are literally countless gorgeous venues in the area that will treat you the way you treat them – kind and considerately. I could literally write pages listing out the bad experiences we had with Pear Valley. Instead I will let this go here and focus on my amazing vendors who saved our day – Popolo Catering, By Request DJ & Event Director Nina Hamilton-Wilber (ALL WHO ROCKED).
Jeremy & his wife Nina ARE AMAZING!! We loved working with them. They both literally SAVED OUR WEDDING DAY! The other reviews were spot on – Jeremy is a musical genius and talented MC (which are 2 extremely important parts of any party / wedding). Nina is such a sweet heart & knows the ins and outs of all wedding planning (and does beautiful floral too!)
Communication was a breeze and they always responded promptly. When I had some major problems with my venue (Pear Valley Vineyard in Paso Robles), Jeremy & Nina stepped up to the plate and went out of their way to make sure everything still went according to plan. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND anything I could have ever dreamed of having in both DJ/MC & Event Director. They are both PROFESSIONAL, KIND, CONSIDERATE & TALENTE! Look no further, BOOK THEM NOW!!

drove out from town and could not believe the beauty of the place....the owner spoke with us at length about not just wines but the region, it's customs and land management....she was terrific and I cannot believe the unwarranted bashing that bridezilla posted about her...
I have already recommended Pear Valley to some friends....wish Canada would let us bring back more bottles than they now allow...

This is one of the best wineries in the central coast with respect to great wines, low cost and a great wine club program.
Most winery wine clubs ship you dozens of wines per year which include several bad wines they need to off load on someone or very expensive wines which don't live up to their cost.
Pear Valley with their twice a year shipments with only 3 bottles for each shipment are not going to break your wallet. If your looking for great wines at responsible cost, look no further. Try Pear Valley with their beautiful views and wine tasting room. We found many locals choose Pear Valley as their winery of choice. Hope to see more people enjoy this great winery.

This winery is a great stop for someone looking for a wide variety of wines that are affordable and very drinkable. The grounds are beautiful as is the tasting area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great experience.

We were introducted to Pear Valley on our friends annual Christmas Wine Tasting outing. They took us here, and the people in the tasting room were so friendly. Throughout the years, this has been consistant. The tasting room staff are always extremely nice, and never pushy. We love their Orange Muscat, but since the drought hit that one is hard to come by.
The property is beautiful, with tons of roses and paths to walk on, and outdoor seating areas. There is a hill with a huge oak tree, that overlooks the surrounding vineyards.
Often times they have snacks in the tasting room, and there is always water.
Also available is a small selection of merchendise, there are shirts, candles made out of their Distraction bottles, thier cookbook, and various wine accessories.
We always love stopping here to relax because everyone is so nice, and the wines are great.
The tasting room has a large tasting area with 3 counters and everyone is very attentive. We had 3 people checking on us the whole time to make sure we were okay, had anything we wanted to taste, etc. They're attentive without feeling pushy or like you're just one in a herd of people. There is also a couch to sit on, and a tv was playing food network which was funny. There is a huge room with tables and chairs and outside has lots more seating, and there are live bands a lot of the time as well, so you can just hang out and listen to music.
We just did a tour over Harvest Weekend which was really interesting, and we highly recommend doing the tour if you get a chance.
