About
Eberle Winery is a family-owned producer and marketer of premium wines, representing the Eberle Estate, single varieties and designated vineyards. Eberle wines have showcased the history and diverse flavors of the Paso Robles Appellation since 1979. Gary launched his career as a winemaker and as the “Pioneer” of Paso Robles Wine Region by helping to establish his family's Estrella River Winery & Vineyards. In the late 70’s, he decided to pursue his own project and acquired nearly 64 acres just down the road from Estrella River Winery. Shortly thereafter, Gary released his first Eberle wine, the 1979 Cabernet Sauvignon debuting the iconic boar logo, depicting the German origin of the name Eberle, meaning “small boar.” Reservations are now required to visit and can be made online or by calling us. We have changed up a few things so that we can provide a welcoming and safe environment for wine tasting and bottle service. Please let us know if you have any questions.

    FUN, FREE and INFORMATIVE!
Our visit to the winery was fun, informative, and the wine was great! I couldn't believe the tasting was completely complimentary. We tasted 5 wines with a great host and then we did a tour of the "caves". The outdoor setting is beautiful with nice views of the vineyard. We all enjoyed it so much that all 5 of us bought wine to take home! AND the bottle prices were so reasonable. My favorite was the Chardonay and was only $32. Another person in our group LOVED the Cabernet sauvignon, which is the staple for the winery, and it too was only $55/bottle. Highly Recommend this Winery.

    Fantastic family vineyard
What a great start to our wine tasting road trip! We stopped at Eberle after it was mentioned by a colleague and we were not disappointed. From the moment you walk in, the staff, team and dogs are very welcoming. Our young lady behind the counter, running our tasting session was amazing. Informative, friendly, charming, well travelled and knowledgeable, she made us feel welcome and answered all the questions we had. We tasted and purchased some beautiful wines and spent a further hour sat on the sun deck, taking in the wonderful views and gorgeous sunshine. We were lucky to bump into Gary the owner and stopped for a chat about wine, football (American) and dogs. Really down to earth, humble, hard working man who had time to want to know more about our trip and life back home in England. Can't recommend you make this vineyard a part of any trip as you won't be disappointed at all, it has a clear family feel to it, with long standing staff and doesn't have the "Disney" feel as some vineyards up the road in Napa have now. Thank you Gary and team.

    Majestic
We didn’t book as we didn’t know what time we would be getting into town so we just turned up and they were very accommodating. We did the wine tasting and were served by Jennifer who was very knowledgeable. Ended up having a glass of wine sat on the deck, overlooking the vineyard whilst some live music was being played. Very nice indeed.

    A must visit!
Beautiful setting above the vineyard, great wines and great people. Dog friendly and VERY military friendly. Be prepared to leave with a collection of wines, as it is hard to decide on what to take... Tamara was a doll and was very attentive.

Complimentary Wine Tasting & Cave Tour vs Cellar Club Reserve Cave Tour
We visited Eberle Winery while in Paso Robles and upgraded our tasting from the complimentary wine tasting & cave tour to the Cellar Club Reserve Cave Tour & Tasting. In hindsight, I wish we had opted for the complimentary wine tasting instead. Our experience began with a wine tasting on the patio, which offered a gorgeous view. Our sommelier greeted us and spent about 5 minutes chatting with us, which was enjoyable at first. However, we soon realized that he was also responsible for 2 other tables. This meant that every time he brought a different bottle for tasting, he would spend about 5 minutes at each table. Between each pour, there was a 10-minute wait, followed by a 5-minute lull of making conversation with him. While he was friendly, this process made the 6 pours feel drawn out and time-consuming. Behind us, there was a large table being attended to by another sommelier named Kirk. Kirk was incredibly fun and entertaining, sharing the winery's history and telling great and funny stories that kept his guests laughing and engaged. I couldn’t help but wish we were with that group. Our sommelier informed us that we would be joining Kirk's group for the cave tour (yay!). Unfortunately, by the time we finished our tasting, Kirk's group had already left, and we had to wait for our sommelier to wrap things up before taking us on the tour. Overall, while the setting and wine were lovely, the experience felt less engaging than I had hoped. I wish we had chosen the complimentary wine tasting instead.

    Beautiful Winery, Amazing Wines
We traveled to Paso Robles to visit the many vineyards in this area. The drive from Hanford to Paso was easy and picturesque. Our first stop was the Eberle Winery. This estate is beautiful! The wine…amazing! The staff…. knowledgeable, courteous and we had enjoyable conversations. The free tour of the caves is a must. We had the opportunity to the owner Gary Eberle. He was outside enjoying a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. He was so delightful and interesting. We enjoyed speaking with him! If we didn’t live on the east coast we most definitely join his wine club!

A couple of friends and I visited Paso Robles this week, and I was tasked to pick the wineries to visit. Eberle Winery stood out because besides offering a wine tasting, Eberle also does an operations and cave tour. It was very educational and something extra that added to our winery visit. During the tour, we were shown the machinery and equipment used to process harvested grapes into pulp and juice, and then we visited the underground tunnels and caves where wine is stored and aged. After the fairly short tour, we sat in the outdoor patio to sample wine. The tour guide and pourer were very friendly and informative. The tour and wine tasting were free, though there is a processing fee ($10 total no matter how many people are in your party) when you make your online reservation. Overall, we didn’t love the wines that we tasted, but we liked a couple of them enough to purchase a few bottles. In summary, Eberle is worth a visit. Even if you don’t end up liking the wine, the tour itself is worth it.

Highly recommend visiting this winery!
We visited on a cool rainy day and since sitting outside was not an option, they had opened up the wine making room for seated tastings. Our server, Kirk, was a delight. He not only educated us on Eberle wines, but entertained us with some jokes. The wines here were very tasty. We particularly liked the Full Boar Red - especially for the price. The Zin & Cab were quite nice also. Worth a stop while visiting Paso Robles!

I applaud the Eberle Winery for continuing to provide a completely complimentary wine tasting & cave tour experience. Other wineries would charge $30 or more per person. Wonderful wines & cave tour!

We don't get to Paso Robles often enough to enjoy Eberle regularly. We had an exclusive tasting in the barrel tunnel which was fabulous. The charcuterie trays were phenomenal and the pairings were excellent. The 2015 RR Estate Reserve Barbera was the hands-down winner of our tasting, closely followed by the 2016 Cab Reserve; Port was an exceptional dessert ending.
We ended up with 6 bottles of Barbera which will be enjoyed for months to come. Eberle staff is very nice, Matt was a great server, casual and knowledgeable.
Their dogs are very friendly and nice pets. They roam around the property and greet everyone as they come and go.

The most awesome liberal tasting policy made it comfortable to buy several great wines . Then to find there was a 40% discount for Jim's having been in the Navy!?!
NICE way to thank folks for their service! Tasting room is absolutely delightful as is the view. If u visit only one, make it this one!

We had a pleasant cellar tasting and cave tour. There was a bit of a wait after we were greeted by the owner's black standard poodles inside. The tasting took place on the covered terrace outside looking out over the vines. After trying the rose, we were taken on a tour of the caves, which was very informative. The rest of the tasting was back on the couch on the terrace; leisurely and informative as well. I think it's worth springing for the $25 tasting (waived for wine purchase), since the free tastings looked like a bit of a cattle call. We didn't try the cheese or charcuterie boxes, but they looked good at the next table.

We have been members of the Eberle wine club for several years and we live out of state. So when we visited Paso Robles we were excited to finally get to visit Eberle as wine club members. We are on many mailing lists and wine clubs in California, so we were expecting somewhat better reception and treatment than someone just there for a tasting. That didn’t happen.
We visited on a Monday. So it wasn’t that busy and that is not an excuse for what happened. We were seated on the huge deck with great views. Maybe half the deck had people seated. We waited for a while and nobody came to talk with us. Ok, as I said, it was a nice view. Finally someone came and showed us the tasting menu for the day and put down the first two glasses and gave us a brief introduction the that wine. This happened through the tasting menu and honestly the wines were only mediocre. At this point I expected someone to show up with an additional special wine or two for wine club members. But that was it. So we left. A totally uninspiring, uneventful visit. There are over 250 wineries in the Paso area and I am sure we could find at least 50 or 100 where the experience would be much better. Oh, and we will be quitting their wine club.

We went to Eberle twice on our recent trip to Paso (once for a tasting & once for glasses on their patio). Both times we had outstanding service. The second time was a Saturday…even without reservations we were able to get a spot on their overflow patio for glasses complete with live music! Eberle is one of the rare places in Paso that still has free tastings. Their wine is excellent & shouldn’t be missed!

Tastings are challenging right now, because of the pandemic. Eberle makes it look easy; they look as if they've always done business this way.

We did get a little weather, but that added to the excitement. There were quite a few small planes flying out of the nearby airport, which also added to the fun.

The setting is beautiful; and they've provided for weather (hot as well as rain) by using large umbrellas over each of the tables.

Jenna was great. She's marvelous. Perfect. We loved her. Until we saw the two photos she took of our group, LOL! In the first, she cut off our heads; in the second, she caught me talking which contorts my face. Other than being a lousy photographer, Jenna is the best. (We did other tastings that day. Jenna IS the best.)

Beautiful views from Eberle. No kinks as if they've been tasting this way forever. LOTS of staff.

We haven't stopped at Eberle our last few visits to Paso Robles, but after this awesome tasting experience, we have renewed our love of Eberle and Eberle wines. Even took him several bottles of Full Boar Red, which we hadn't done in many years.

It was good to get re-acquainted. Thank you.
