L'Aventure used to have what could be described as a "up and coming" tasting room. The wine was great, but the space... not so much. Then they expanded to what can best be described as an "epic" cave system carved into the hill under the vineyard. The new space is amazing. Elegant, well designed, and appealing. This doesn't matter. The... More

Love L'Adventure! You need to make a reservation in advance but it's worth it! The wine, especially the red is delish and the scenery is beautiful! A must visit when wine tasting in Paso!

The L'Aventure Winery is quite an experience - the grounds are spectacular, as is the tasting room (albeit quite cold - bring a sweater!!). My husband read the reviews ahead of making our reservation, so we knew to expect some pricier wines, but of the highest quality. You are only given 4 small samples to taste - the Optimus, the... This is another winery where you'll need to make a reservation in order to taste. They do not waive tasting fees unless you join their club and their wines are in the $50+++ price range. That being said, we had a very nice time going through the tasting with Eric (who happened to be our very knowledgeable waiter the evening... More

Yes, you have to make a reservation. So what? Their wines are above average if not better. Mostly balanced and not overly fruit forward; more of a Bordeaux style which is a nice change of pace for the area. Their Optimus is a decent value when sorting through their other more expensive options and is available at some wine stores... More

Make sure to call for an appointment This is what serious wine is all about. An owner that wanted to be creative and not blocked by the government in France any longer( imagine that) to do what he wanted, make great wines ( actually fantastic) by way of blending Bordeaux and Rhone And the result is spectacular wine that you... We had a delightful visit to L'Aventure Winery. They have just opened up their new tasting room. The wine was outstanding. Our pourer was friendly and knowledgeable. We will be back.

This place is beautiful and worth the trip. The wine is outstanding and of the Rhone varietal. Excellent wine and the highest and best quality for 50 miles around. Lots of fun.

This is one of the premier wineries in Paso Robles. The winemaker specializes in terrific Rhone-style blends that are world class.

Steffan's Passion For Wine One of the area's absolute top wineries. The beauty and minerality of the land is so apparent here.Rich, luscious reds are born here. Owner and winemaker Stephan chose this land for what he knew it could bare. And he was right. No fancy tasting room here. Just really good juice. Call ahead for the gate code!
