Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Don't come here! The owner's dog attacked my dog even after being told by the Jimmy that it was OK for my dog to be there. My dog died minutes after the attack. The owners said that they have had to pay for damages caused by their dog's previous attacks. The attack was vicious and unprovoked. Next time it might be a child!! The owners don't seem to care that it is unsafe. Do not patronize this winery!

We are sorry for what transpired. We now have signage which indicates that our winery is not dog-friendly as our dogs are simply protective of our property when it comes to other animals. In our rural location we have a lot of coyotes, raccoons and an occasional mountain lion and they help to protect the property.
But, as anyone who has visited us in the past will tell you, our dogs are EXTREMELY friendly to all humans. Kids lay on the grass and pet them all the time. They love people and wouldn't hurt anyone, big or small. We hope folks consider visiting us, the first winery heading west on Route 46.

Great winery not situated with the big group king just up the road. Jim the owner was great and enjoyed the conversation. Really good wine and Sofie the German shepherd was great.

I went here for a wine tasting with a friend recently. We got a groupon deal that included 6 tastings each for 2 people, and a plate of meat, cheese, with fruit. It was all under 20 dollars, which was a great deal. The wines jammy and went well with our food plate. The patio was spectacular and overlooked the vinyards. It was so relaxing to drink wine and have a great conversation. I think I spent over an hour there just chating and enjoying the view. One odd part was having to bring in my glass of wine from outside to the inside in order to get the next tasting. It really broke the rhythm during the wine tasting. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Good Afternoon jthuynh12, (sorry, don't have your name :))
Thank you for your kind words regarding the winery!
I appreciate your comment regarding having to bring your glass inside for the next tasting. I want you to know that we have updated our steps of service and will make sure that our guests seated outside will receive the same attention and service as guests in the tasting room.
Please make sure to introduce yourself the next time you visit!
My name is Brian and I look forward to meeting you!
Happy Holidays!

We happened upon Doce Robles a couple years ago on our first trip to Paso. We loved the casual, friendly laid back atmosphere and thought the Sunset Red blend was yummy so bought a case to be shipped to Colorado. We bought 7 cases of wine on that trip and every time one was delivered we would crack a bottle and see if it was really good or our taste buds were "impaired"! Well about half way through the bottle I asked my husband to see if he could get more! This was the real deal! Since then we have shared this amazing wine with many friends in CO that are now hooked too. A few weeks ago we were thrilled that our most recent visit coincided with DR's Kentucky Derby Party, so much fun! Not only do they have the best wine ( we blind test them with our $80 bottles often, can't beat Doce Robles!) but Jimmy and Maribeth are so sweet and fun, the views are amazing and now the gorgeous Emily and Katy are pouring wine for you! Go for the wine, stay for the karaoke, people and views. Be sure and try the Sunset Red, Rojo (my faves) and Barbera, Syrific Cab (my hubby's).

We went to Doce Robles as the last stop on our Grapevine Tour and they really saved the best for last. We had such a great time with Jimmy and (I am so sorry I have forgotten her name) the young lady in the tasting room. The wines are wonderful, and don't forget to try the vinegars, those are super too. And, if you are lucky, hopefully Jimmy will fire up the karaoke machine. My husband so enjoyed that. And a dog and a cat to visit with. I could go on and on. I could easily have stayed a lot longer then we did stay. Jimmy also was gracious enough to sign the bottle of wine and the glass we purchase.

Doce Robles is always on my list of wineries to visit..a great setting.. always love the dogs.. much more expensive than they used to be..did not see the case sales of the past.. Wine is still good but if you’re into big bold reds you’ll be disappointed.. staff is great.. easy parking..

Found some good wines here, and bought a couple of fun bottles of the Jimmymon. We were greeted by a very friendly mellow dog. Emily knows her product and was also able to answer our questions about some of the other local wineries.

We discovered this winery on a Grapeline tour (thank you, Peggy!). The owner and wine maker was there and we had a blast! The wines are delicious! Everything you taste they can point to the grapes in the vineyard where it was grown. They were amazing with packing and shipping and we do not have a friendly import state - grrr. No doubt this is one of the Top 5 wineries in the area so don't miss it.

Jimmy puts on a wonderful evening of food, wine, music, hay ride and bonfire once a month in the summer. Highly recommended for couples or families. Small hometown feel with a beautiful view of the vineyards. Jimmy sees to it that everyone has a great time.
