We stopped in here on our first morning and the staff member was very helpful, with a dry sense of humour. He gave us maps and told us the best places to visit. He was also helpful with info about Joshua Tree National park, telling where the highlights were and how long to plan to be there for.

A free, clean bathroom is heaven sent when you need it! If you are entering town stop for the bathrooms, if nothing else. There is another Visitors Center in town at the PS library but getting access to it is more cumbersome. We had to give the security guard a drivers license to use the restroom. You'll understand if you... More

When I asked for advice on the best tour, the old lady behind the counter didn't even look up, she just pointed toward the door and said, "The pamphlets are in the fourth row. When I asked her which one she thought was the best she finally looked up with a scowl and said, "We don't give that advice! We... More

These folks know their business. They know the most up to date restaurant list, any events that are happening in the area, and everything in the greater Palm Springs area - like Joshua Tree. Very easy to find as it's right at the entrance to the Palm Springs area itself - and at the bottom of the Tram. Highly recommend... More

The visitors center is the first big building you see when you come into town. The former 76 gas station was renovated due to the original architecture who designed i back in the 1950's. To day it is a land mark and people stop by to see what all palm springs has to offer for activities and hotels as well... More

We stopped here because we wanted to see how long it would take to get to Joshua Tree Park, and we wish we had stopped the day we got there! They had a map of all the restaurants on Palm Canyon Drive, and they provided us with a map of the route to Joshua Tree Park. They had some neat... More

The visitor center is located at the beginning of the road that goes to the Ariel tram. Check it out to get info for your trip.

This is a great little tourist bureau if you're not familiar w/ the area. I wish they had more of a focus on the great outdoors, but clearly I'm not the target audience.

the staff gave us maps, provided us with valuable information, suggested places to visit and ways to save a few dollars. It is a unique building and all the brochures you need are here. I think it is a first stop if you are new to Palm Springs.
