We visited the Springs almost as a lark....go see the Palm Springs. LOL It turned out to be an unexpected bonus.....just gorgeous and looking almost primeval. The clusters of palms almost seem out of place in the middle of the desert and amazingly it is...More

This is a area of a Reservation located just outside of Palm Springs. Best times to visit is early spring to mid April. It has dramatic waterfalls, oasis and interesting wild life and fowl.

The owner of the place we rented suggested we visit the Indian Canyons and we were glad we did. Quite beautiful, and peaceful and not that far out of town. We hiked around the perimeter of the canyon (pretty easy hike) and enjoyed the serenity...More

We love it here and the reason is because its a pay to play location, which alleviates littering and vandalism. There is something for every level of adventurer. the ladies at the check in are kind with alot of information to give.

This is one of our favorite hikes because it is convenient to Palm Springs (not too far of a drive) but yet feels so far removed and the Palm Trees are gorgeous!

A definite must if you like to hike. The trails range from easy to moderate. Seven Sisters is a great hike and not too difficult. There is lots to explore. You can spend the entire day there and not get board. There is a nominal...More

Always enjoy the canyons when the brittlebush blooms in the spring. Very beautiful. Don't go here at other times just because of the cost to get in. Sometimes it can be quite a wait to get in.

This trip is so worth it! We were in Palm Springs in June and decided to visit the canyons. Go in the morning, and bring water, it is quite warm but so worth it. The vegetation, the landscape, the people at the shop and the...More

Was looking forward to visiting the canyons again unfortunately during the summer months the canyons are only open Friday to Sunday which is not advertised anywhere we could find anyway and we ran out of time to visit. Will try to visit next time.

These canyons have a strong history and are unique in their habitat and quiet beauty. Travel down from the desert surface and find cool streams and a special feeling of beauty.

Part of the short (1 mile) walk is past a shady stream, so the heat isn't a problem for the whole hike. Great opportunity to experience a real oasis. Having said that - go early in the day. Very worth it. We were then in... More

I drove out to Twenty Nine Palms from LA two weeks ago. It took about three hours. Palm Springs is closer, so count on at least two hours on the road. It really depends where in LA you are coming from and if you are going... More
