In the main part of Palm Canyon drive, this gem of a museum that costs on 95 cents could be easily missed, as it is somewhat tucked away from the road. It's a really interesting display set up like an old druggists, the equivalent of our modern drug stores, with many many items from the 1930s and 1940s. It seems... More

We decided to stop here after reading about it as a "top 20 to-do" place to visit in Palm Springs. Very glad we did! I mistakenly thought it was a store at first but realized it was solely a museum when we got there. Admission was 95 cents. It is a small room and you cannot go past the rectangular... More

This unique museum is worth way more than the 95 cent admission. This is a wonderful collection of 1930's to 1940's general store merchandise. It is a lesson to see how items were sold and delivered back in the day. If you looking for a way to spend 10-20 minutes I would highly recommend stopping in for a visit.

This is a very small museum, only one room, with a very small admission price of ninety-five cents! But it is an amazing collection of all kinds of items from household goods to clothing, to food and candy and tobacco and alcohol, to pharmacy and dry goods and whatever else might reasonably have been sold in a general store in... Loved this place! Didn't want to leave. Best 95 cents I spent in my life. It's a small museum but it every corner is filled with nostalgia.

Ruddy’s General Store is great fun. Do not miss it! Ruddy’s contains original store supplies from late 1880s through the 1930s. It is quite authentic. The voluntary admission is only 95 cents! Hey, let them keep the change from the dollar! It is located downtown and on the free weekend bus stop. Do not miss this place. It is easy... More

Cute little museum which is run by a nice old lady who looks like she had witnessed many of the museum displays earlier in her life. Her 15 years old puppy dog keeps her company and they make such a cute couple. The fee is 97 cents and they are surely worth it :)

We had this on our must see list and found it when we finished our lunch. Sally, the woman who works up front is very friendly, and very informative!! We asked questions anout the yearly salary back then, and she even had a small pamphlet which answered all our questions! Cost is only $1.00 for admission and it is well... More

We came upon this store whilst wandering. A very small entrance fee charge but the store is filled with masses of treasures from yesteryear.
