Lots of bronze stars in the sidewalk given to people I’ve never heard of. A number of them were plastic surgeons/humanitarians. The one I thought was pretty funny was poolside gossip. No need to look for the Walk. You will inevitably go over it.

There is a lot of construction in this part of Palm Springs as of April 2018, and some of the sites have changed. The original time period for the display of the iconic Marilyn Monroe statue expired, and the statue was moved to another city....More

Forever Marilyn is a giant statue of Marilyn Monroe designed by Seward Johnson. It's from the film The Seven Year Itch. The statue is no longer in Palm Springs unless they moved it to a new location?

If you are on Palm Canyon, keep an eye open for the large bronze stars embedded in the sidewalk. Lots of names you will recognize, many you won't - but fun to track your knowledge of valley notables.

Walk by the "stars" that you've never heard of along with a few that you have. Not really note worthy and hardly worth mentioning except you can say that you saw it.

The walk of stars is impressive but the statue of Marilyn will be back some day when the gardens are finished in front of the art museum.

Fun to see which stars of the 45 0s, 50s and beyond were in the desert, either living there or performing there. There is an interesting mix of people whose name you wouldn't know- screen writers, civic leaders, local personages- but there's enough description to...More

The walk is part of the sidewalk and follows several blocks and there are shops and restaurants and coffee all all. We didn't make a separate trip--just was a part of our seeing Palm Springs. You can look down and see names... More
