We recently visited this zoo and it was nice but very hot the day we went and there is little shade on the baths between animals so make sure to lather on the sun screen and take water with you. They have water bottle refill stations which was convenient. The staff here are very friendly and we did see a... More

This combination garden/zoo is remarkable for the diversity of the exhibits. Volunteers at the gate can advise visitors of the numerous exhibits and shows, and the animal feedings are a great deal of fun. Do bring good walking shoes. Kiddie strollers are available for use at the front gate (good idea if you are bringing the very little ones).

We enjoyed this park as it was beautiful, informative, and clean. I loved the great efforts to label the wide variety of plants and explain the habitat of the many animals. Great day for a family outing! The hike was great exercise too

The Living Desert is a beautifully designed natural habitat for a variety of animals from all over the world, as well as a variety of indigenous desert plants. As zoos go, it's on the smaller side, but don't confuse size with quality. It is a lovely little oasis with the most thoughtfully and humanely created areas for the different animal... More

We really enjoyed our visit to the living Desert Zoo and Gardens. It was nice to have a mix of activities between the gardens and animals, our our boys (7, 5 and 2) loved hanging out by the trains. The size is nice, price is great and we found it easy to navigate. Also really liked having the option of... More

Visited w 3 couples and 6 kids. As soon as you walk in there's a huge model train exhibit. Kids loved it! Next we did the giraffe feeding for $5. What a fun experience! Would definitely go back!

Wonderful zoo that is environmentally conscious in so many ways. The terrain has been adapted for the animals. There.s 85 acres to cover & could take multi visits. But the best way is to do a private tour for a couple extra $$. Ask for Bill. In 2 1/2 hrs you will have learned so much about the animals &... More

This zoo is quite surprising. We saw cheetahs ring fed up close, took fun camel rides and were surrounded by the stunning beauty of the dessert.
