Capt. Dan is a Coast Guard licensed master and American Sailing Association instrutor. Sail with him for a few hours or up to several days, exploring the Channel Islands ... or take private lessons. We have two yachts, one economy and one luxury boat built in France and we are the only company offering sailing eco-tours of California's Channel Islands. Our islands are often described as the Galapagos of North American and abound in sea life from whales, to dolphins to fish that ride here on either a southern current or the northern one. Ashore, you will find a landscape mostly clear of humans and protected by the National Park Service and the Nature Conservancy. Human civilization dates back some 10,000 years here, but only a handful of caretakers live here now. Come with us and step back in history 200 years, step away from civilization.

We recently sailed to the Channel Islands aboard the yacht Sancerre on a two night voyage. Our skipper was Capt Dan who has been sailing the islands for over 10 years and knows all the anchorages like the back of his hand. His assistant Chef...More

I wish we could take credit for the arrival of whales and dolphins. Or the majesty of our islands. I love leading adventures that last a few days with people who share my wonder and awe. It was great sailing with you, and Dennis and...More

It was great sailing with you and your family. This is a great time of year to see whales. So glad they cooperated. Actually, there are whales here all year, but not always in the numbers we saw on that trip. And Island Foxes --...More

I think your daughter enjoyed the trip most of all. Our little excursion might prompt her to put a boat on her Xmas wish list. She's a natural. It was great sailing with you. If you manage to resist buying a boat, I hope to...More

Thanks for the kind words. Your comments, as well as everyone else's, help us figure out what we're doing right. One thing we know is that we've picked a great place to sail. Even though the Bosun and I have sailed in some fantastic places...More

That was a one-of-a-kind cruise. Way fun for us. BTW -- the blue whales got out of sight in a hurry. Hard to believe something that big can just disappear. Turns out, according to Wikipedia, that blues frequently travel at about 15 knots and have...More

What a great way to take sailing lessons. Captain Dan was so easy to learn from while being informative and fun. It felt more like a few fun days of sailing with friends than being in a class. I couldn't be happier with my experience.More

As an old, old admiral once said to me, "If it's not fun, you're not doing it right." He was talking about landing a Corsair on a carrier at night. I think it makes more sense in the sailing-with-friends venue. Come back soon and let's...More
