Farm Sanctuary is an amazing place! As vegans, my daughter and I found it so great to visit a place where animals are cherished as the individuals they are. We visited during Hoe Down and enjoyed excellent, cruelty-free food and wonderful, caring, dedicated people! But the best part was spending time with the happy, safe, peaceful animals! They do important... More

I am so glad I was able to come to this amazing facility. I live on the East Coast and have heard so much about the Watkin's Glen facility, but i haven't made it Upstate yet. While driving to SF from my hometown in NorCal I knew I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go to Farm Sanctuary if it... More

As a supporter of this charity, it was a pleasure to have the chance to go see the actual farm itself while in the Sacramento area. (The drive there from Sacramento is about 1.75 hours, but goes fast if you can take highway 5.) No reservation was needed, I simply made sure they were holding a tour on the date... More

This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Not only is the landscape spectacular with its rolling hills and blue sky but it is filled with all kinds of farmed animals who have been rescued from dire situations. Many of these animals come from factory farms, stockyards, livestock auctions, and slaughterhouses. To see these animals living... More

LOVED loved loved Farm Sanctuary!!! I have been a sponsor for awhile and an active vegan so we decided to visit while we traveled the coast. Such a great experience to be up close and personal with the beautiful animals. Our tour girl was very imformative and made our experience knowledgeable and memorable. We were priviledged to stay in their... More

Walked among the animals - petted a turkey, scratched the belly of a pig. Also learned a lot about what happens to many animals raised for food and how the sanctuary rescues abused animals.

If you are an animal lover this is a great place to see. They have some interesting sounding events throughout the year too.

My husband and I stopped at the Farm Sanctuary on our way to San Francisco. We stayed in the little cottage they rent out. It was such a wonderful experience. The cottage was clean and very nicely appointed. I thought it was going to be bare bones but was surprised to find really nice soaps to use in the bathroom... More

My wife and I absolutely live going to Farm Sanctuary every year. You get a chance to actually walk up, interact with, and enjoy the company of the farm animals without feeling guilty afterwards. Being vegan, its important to have places like this to go. Is you get a chance, attend their annual country hoe down usually in May or... More
