Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited Improv Sunday September 11, 2022. Purchased two tickets on line for $88.96 (including service fee) for my brother and myself, Upon arrival was not allowed in venue because they said the tickets I bought were for Friday not Sunday, although I purchased the tickets for the Sunday night 7:30 pm show. I was extremely disappointed. My brother and I are both disabled senior citizens on fixed income and certainly can not afford to throw money away in this manner. The agent was rude and said she talked to the manager but there was nothing they could do. I even offered to buy two more tickets since we were there and it was pouring down raining outside but she stated she could not sell us any ticket because the box office was mysteriously closed although the show had not started it was 7:10 pm and the website states that the box offfice closes at 7:30 pm on Sunday, This was a big time disappointment. Will not reccommend.

I was very disappointed in where they seated us. They put us in chairs that are turned around to face the stage. Therefore, our backs were to the table. I had wanted to order an appetizer but could not with this seating arrangement. There were several seats still open where you could face the table so I asked one of the workers if we could move so that I could order an appetizer and he said no. Can you imagine? Turning down a food order? So I was a little irritated then. But about 10 minutes later another couple asked the same thing and they let them move to the table I had asked about! This made me angry. The show we saw, John Heffron, was not as funny as the last time we saw him. We didn't relate to a lot of the jokes that were geared toward younger folks (we are 50+) and parents with kids. The comedian before him was funny but I didn't catch the guy's name. Although there was a 2 item minimum, we only purchased 3 total (the appetizer would have made 4 so guess they missed out on that--their fault.) I will not return to this venue.

We went to the late show last night to see Christopher Titus, an act that should have been very funny. The sound system or operator (or both) in this club are unacceptable. The opening act used a handheld microphone and she was almost audible. Titus came on with a lavalier mic clipped to his shirt and he was barely over a whisper.
The crowd was mostly quiet trying to listen, but even folks talking in hushed tones behind us distracted enough that we missed lots of the show.
We won't be spending another evening in this venue.
It wasn't fun. Seeing and hearing a show are things you shouldn't have to work at.

Compared to the other improvs, the Ontario mills one is a little, scarier shall we say at night. It's got an interesting mix of clientele.
Unfortunately a lot of the really good comedians don't come to the Ontario improv so I end up having to go to brea to see the person I wanted to see

What a shame that Flluffy has so many people wanting to enjoy his show close to home and at a reasonable price. I wanted to surprise my son and reserved 2 tickets plus dinner, he was very disappointed to arrive and find they had overbooked, I feel if you reserve something that is exactly what that means. I did get a refund receipt but that is not the point, I was very sadden by the way it was handled. I won't be reserving at Ontario Improv unless it is a certain reservation.

This is a great "local" venue to go see your favorite comedians up close without breaking your wallet. Food inside was good but not great. I would have actually rated them 5 stars except for two things: The ridiculous long wait OUTSIDE in the elements while waiting for the doors to open and; the long wait for the food. We were seated at a front table so I embarrassed that our food arrived at our table so late, with the headliner well into his performance. Maybe get people seated sooner to give kitchen and staff time to bring most of the food out before the show begins.

Great comedy club for the Inland Empire, located at Ontario Mills close to the food court. Decent food, adequate drinks, great seats to see performers no matter where you sit. Comedians are current and relevant, so any show is a good bet.

My husband and I went to see DL, Mike, and DeeRay all were funny but just remember you need to buy two drinks or two Items. That is the only bad part about this place, you spend money to get in then you need to spend another $25.00 to $35.00 per person on food or drinks.

Entertainment was great service not so much don't get nachos they were soggy. And it took for ever to get our drinks. The venue was small so they crammed us in tight. I was unfortunate to be placed behind a couple of tall people and had to crank my head to see. I was up front seats in the back would have given me a better view. With that being said getting there 1.5 hours early was not worth the wait. But I laughed my head off. Also there is a 2 item minimum per person that was required. So I had to order something else which was the nachos which was a disappointment.

My wife and I had decided to catch a movie at the Ontario mills, but when we arrived we noticed the headliner at the improv was Sheryl Underwood so we looked at one another and just started laughing, needless to say we went right over and bought our tickets. That was our first time at this comedy club and we both had the time of our lives and we were impressed by the service and how nicely it was put together. This was a game changer for us and made our night so much more entertaining. I give them two thumbs up! Great job Ontario Improv.

Is there a minimum drink purchase requirement?

Hi Elia:
I would suggest that you "be yourself". All sorts of people go to the Improv: some are dressed for "dates" (nice skirt and blouse and heels), and there are also people who come in fashionable casual clothing, such as a nice pair of pants, blouse, poncho or jacket, and boots. I would not go too casual - it is considered a club, so hopefully this helps?
