Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

its place for large events, very spacious, its not for family or couples and defiantly not for teenagers, its purely meeting place for business and other large crowd of people.

My daughter had an athletic competition at the Ontario Convention Center in February. The facility is located near the 10 Freeway and close to the Ontario Airport, which was convenient for those athletes and parents who flew in from out of state. The building looks new and modern from the outside, and the convention hall is spacious and well lit. I appreciated the padded chairs--especially since I sat through two different sessions for 8 hours. The only negatives were the air conditioning and the parking. It was very warm that day, and when we arrived around noon for the competition, the convention hall was stifling. Perhaps since it was winter, maintenance had not pre-set the thermostat for such extremely warm weather. Later in the afternoon the convention hall cooled off more, so they must have turned up the air conditioning.
The other problem was the parking policy. There is a $9 flat fee to park in the Convention Center parking lot, but there are no in-and-out privileges. So basically, once you park you are stuck there and you cannot go out to eat lunch off site. My daughter and I were forced to eat at the small snack bar in the Exhibition Hall. The food was pricey ($14 for a salad, a small pizza, and a churro) but didn't taste too bad--but then again, maybe that's because I was so hungry and couldn't go anywhere else! Later as we were leaving in the evening, I realized that there were some restaurants within walking distance on Vineyard Avenue; but since I had come from the other direction in the morning I hadn't known you could walk anywhere for lunch. Nevertheless, it would have been impossible to walk somewhere to eat during the short amount of time between sessions. And of course, as with other convention centers, outside food and drink are not allowed so you can't even pack a lunch.
The Ontario Convention Center is nice facility itself, but only if you do not have to stay there all day.

I love how easy it was to get around to the sessions and the exhibit floor. It was quite hot but they kept it cool inside - not freezing so you were cold - but not hot from the outside heat. A comfort lost on so many places. Everything was clean and easily accessed.

Day 1) There was clear signage preventing visitors from bringing in food and beverage; not happy about it, but complied with it. However, they had a poor way of handling breakfast because no breakfast meals were available. Why prohibit brining in food, yet you fail to offer it?
Friendly employees greeted visitors at the entrance and meeting rooms were clean.
Day 2) I tried to bring in my breakfast becuase they failed to offer it on the first day, but I was asked to throw it away or eat before entering.
Day 3) I had breakfast at my hotel to avoid another disappointing experience.
Day 4) No time for breakfast at the hotel; can you guess what happened at their coffee house? It was closed!!! How can you fail to offer coffee or breakfast options???
I have no plans to come back even if it means not attending a future conference.
Apparently the Wi-Fi password is a guarded secret - why?

I was recently at the Convention Center to take the California bar exam--either a 2-day or 3-day ordeal. I stayed at the Doubletree and my room there was only about a 4-minute walk across the parking lot.
I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the facility was and was grateful there were additional restroom facilities inside the halls (very helpful when taking a timed exam). Plus, it was relatively quiet.
There was one hiccup the first day when the fire alarm went off as we were getting our instructions. Fortunately, before we got all the way outside during the evacuation, we got the all clear to come back. I'm glad I brought a sweater because the air was turned up at certain points. Although I do not want to revisit the location in July, it was an impressive facility.

Excellent facility. Bright and airy. Friendly staff. Well signed, easy to find your way around. Have attended meetings and been keynote speaker with audiences of 1,000+. Have had a good experience every time.

The Rd2CA Quilt show is held the next to last week-end in January every year at the Ontario Convention Center. I have been attending the show every January for the past 7 years and it has only gotten better with each passing year. It is a big show; attending one day was not enough time for me and my friends, so we bumped our stay up to two days. When taking a class, we need three days. We spend one day looking and photographing all the quilts and another whole day just visiting vendor booths and purchasing product we just have to have. This show, commonly referred to as the Road show, is the best regional quilt show in the area. I actually enjoy this type of show more than attending some of the international shows for two reasons. Many of the quilts at the international shows may not be photographed, which immediately diminishes my enjoyment of viewing them! Secondly, because of stricter juried rules, the shows often do not display some of the less than perfect fabulous local and folk artsy pieces found at smaller shows. I've already made my reservations for the "Road" show for next year. Maybe I'll see you there!

Awesome quilting convention, love the building premises and atrium area. But previous reviewer is right! Need more food choices, and more chairs inside with the vendors. How about allowing food carts outside?

The convention center is like all others. Booths too close together, not enough room in the isles and many, many, people. Not much offered in the way of food vendors.

Is there any WiFi in the building? Traveling from Canada and trying to minimize phone charges.

FYI- There are several great restaurants right next to the convention center. My favorites are in the Doubletree Hotel, located right behind the convention center; you will find two great restaurants and a Starbucks in the main building just off the lobby area. The Holiday Inn next to Marie Calendar's also has a good restaurant. I believe the Ayres Hotel has a cafe type restaurant as well.
