We arrived for our ride which were told was the first of the day as we requested, but we got there a group was already out.... So instead of starting on time we stood around for another 45 minutes for them to feed the dogs and deal with the previous group. No talk about the history of dog sledding, talk... More

First and foremost, the staff both on the phone and the sled drivers were super friendly. We were first ride of the day, so get there early so you can see them hook up the dogs. Tour is then about an hour long, lots of opportunities to take pictures and you get to meet/pet the dogs afterwards. Certainly a unique... More

My friend and I really enjoyed our dog sled ride here. The dogs are Alaskan huskies (not the picture poster Serbian Huskies) and they are so amazing. Our dogs just wanted to Go, go, go, and were really enjoying themselves. Our guide was very informative, helpful and great with the dogs! If you are in the area and want to... More

I took a family member on a dog sled with Wilderness Adventures as a Christmas gift, and I was completely embarrassed. The dogs were not huskies (as advertised on the website). They looked like a pack of skinny rescue dogs from the local shelter. The guys in charge of the sled rides were not rude necessarily, but didn't pay any... More

While visiting beautiful Squaw Valley, CA. recently, I had the opportunity to take a dog sled ride with Wilderness Adventures. What an amazing experience. I would highly recommend it for individuals, couples or families. That area is scenic and lovely and the dogs are amazing as they do their job. The owners and staff are all very friendly and helpful... More

I have been wanting to dogsled since I adopted my first husky over 20 years ago. This was an amazing adventure! The ten Alaskan huskies pulled us through a snow wonderland for an hour. It was an amazing experience but COLD...dress warmly! Our guide was very patient with our questions and we got to meet the friendly dogs afterwards. Not... More

I wish I could give 0 stars: this is the most unprofessional tour company I have ever had the displeasure of encountering. On the first day of our week long vacation, my family made a reservation with this company (with credit card information) and told them the days we would be in the area. The day before our scheduled trip... More

Yeah. We loved it too. But the joy on the faces of our two Grand Daughters, 4 and 6, made it all the more memorable. Ours was the first tour of the day. We arrived a little early and it was a real treat to see the mushers getting their dogs into their harnesses. The ride of course was wonderful.... More

We had a fantastic hour dog sledding with Wilderness Adventures. The sleds run through private, pristine forest which was very quiet and beautiful. It's a small business run by a really nice and friendly local, who also owns and looks after all the dogs. We had two sleds - one for one person and one for two. I don't think... More

We were staying in South Lake Tahoe but the hour drive was worth it for these dog sled tours. There were 5 tours that went out at the same time and they did a big loop around a meadow at the base of Squaw Resort. We had great conversation with our guide Miles and you could tell how much they... More
