I know that none of this is probably accurate post fire, but that is what I have to go on. I found this trail quite sad due to its overuse and abuse. Hopefully things will be different during the recovery period.

We drove all the way up to the Rose Valley Falls trail but it was closed off. There was an opening so we and a couple other people snuck around the wood standing blocking the road. It was so hearbreaking that the whole way up...More

That says it all. The ride took 40 minutes to the campground from Ojai. Maybe my google maps had us go a long route. The hike was about a mile round trip and the falls were more like a trickle. Someone pointed out where a...More

I've visited the place when the waters were high (great waterfalls) and low. Perhaps even more beautiful than the waterfall itself are the mosses and ferns underneath it. There are a few camping spots, a short hike to the falls. A much better place to...More

People claim that this is a really long drive and really short hike. It took about 23 minutes to drive to the parking lot in about 15 to 20 minutes of a hike to the actual waterfalls slightly uphill. We went on a Monday and...More

This is a nice, easy trail and the falls at the end are well worth it. The hike is not steep and is an easy stroll. I like to take my dogs with me and they really enjoy it. Be aware that there is poison...More

This hike is lovely. The trail is in great shape with a gradual uphill. Most of it is through trees and is nice on its own. The waterfall is nice, it still has water at the beginning of April 2017 but isn't a huge flow....More

Because of recent rains, the roadway to the parking area was covered with water in 2 places (we drove through it fine) and the trail was covered with water in 3 places (we tip-toed on the rocks through it). The walk wasn't as easy as...More

Visited Rose Falls at 9am today. Ground was frozen and water was rushing down the gorge. Had to use rocks to get across two streams - which was very doable. Didn't take long to get to the falls. Had three times more water than last...More
