This is a great place to go to see the sunsets. There are nice beaches surrounding it and there is parking nearby (pay). There are many fishermen and you can watch the surfers trying to beat the waves. There is a snack bar mid-pier and a full service restaurant at the end with outdoor and indoor seating.

The pier walk is the highlight of this place. We loved it and enjoyed eating a the restaurant at the end with the sunset. Will totally be back for that experience.

Went during sundown and took the long walk to the pier. One of the longest piers in California. I hadnt been there in decades and it hasnt changed. Very casual and everything friendly, dogs, fire pits, kids, open 24/7 I guess I'm sick of all the so calfifornia restrictions...If you are too you'll love oceanside.

We loved walking out on the Oceanside Pier to watch the surfers & just people watch. There is a very good restaurant at the end of the pier called "Rubys" - there is also another restaurant located under the pier on the sidewalk but we have never eaten there.

The pier was a long walk with a rail to lean on and enjoy the view. Watching the surfers, fishermen and people is quite entertaining. The pelicans were a special treat ! At the end of the pier was Ruby's. A 50's type diner with wonderful old fashioned milk shakes and great hamburgers.

There little snack huts , benches for older ones to sit on and easy access to the ocean. The peir is a nice little stroll. You can see by the photo the wildlife is quite friendly. On... More

I love the Oceanside Pier! It's great for walking, but avoid high heels. The views are amazing. It's great for people watching. The Ruby's diner at the end serves great banana splits. There are usually people fishing. They have fish cleaning stations and benches.
