About
Miner Family Vineyards is a dynamic family owned winery tucked into the eastern hills of the Oakville appellation, squarely within the heart of Napa Valley. Founded in 1998 by Dave & Emily Miner along with his folks Ed & Norma, Miner is defined first and foremost by a sensational portfolio of wines, wines consistently characterized by and committed to individualistic style and uncommon quality. In only a few short years, Miner has identified, sought and secured a number of California's finest vineyard sites to produce and showcase a wide array of varietals. Each wine is crafted in a style to encapsulate the distinctive elements and the indelible fingerprints of their respective vineyards. This combination of excellent vineyard sites along with passionate and thoughtful winemaking injects the necessary components for creating profoundly joyful wines.

July 2022
Very unprofessional experience at Miner family on Saturday, July 23rd 2022. We have been members of Miner for years and visit their winery for special occasions and buy a lot of wine from them. We were there celebrating a special birthday on July 23rd 2022 when without informing us prior to our visit at the time of booking on the phone, we were asked to pay $140 for a Napa tax at the end of the wine tasting and purchasing many bottles of wine. This is not fair and highly bad service to the regular clientele. All they could do was tell us about this Napa surcharge at time of booking which may be not the normal taxes collected. We called up their winery yesterday and today and even after Miner customer service acknowledging that we were not notified of this charge at the time of booking, it showed up on the bill and we have to pay for it. There are more than enough wineries in Napa that need more business in this economic climate. I am cancelling my membership and not recommend Miner Family to ANYONE

We always enjoy stopping at Miner for a tasting. Their wines are reasonably priced and delicious. We buy a case of Rosato every year.
So excited to see that the tasting room has been completely remodeled. What a great look and wonderful space for tasting. The hospitality here is very nice and they will take good care of you.
We highly recommend this tasting stop on the Silverado trail!

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Miner and we had such a wonderful experience there. Our wine host, Shelby, was very sweet, informative, conversational, and knowledgeable about the winery, family, and answer several of my wife's random questions. The inside of the tasting room had a laid back clean-modern-rustic feel, with its blend of wood, leather, and metal furniture. Make sure you stop to admire the jazz guitars that are displayed there too. Would highly recommend that you stop by this place!

John Hicklin made our experience, even under COVID precautions, very relaxed and enjoyable. He provided history, stories and information about the wines that made the tasting more like our private event at the winery. Should you be looking for an enjoyable experience with a number of great wines that may not be a mainstream name or location, Miner Family Winery is an opportunity not to be missed.

Wine and location/view was amazing, however they seemed to be very short staffed. Two staffers were serving over 6 tables and looked like their hair was on fire. Our group felt like we were cattle being herded and rushed through the tasting. Tasty wine, but not a great experience.

A very happy experience. The wine tasting was excellent - their wild yeast is definitely our favorite Chardonnay, their reds were good too. Really enjoyed the amount of time we could have talking with our very knowledgeable host. Views from the terrace were spectacular. Perfect on a sunny day.

Greg -thank you for the amazing experience at our wine tasting. You shared much information and made us laugh until our sides hurt. Our Rothschild group had a wonderful time and we can’t wait to come back and visit. We visited many wineries-thanks to Greg and the wine-Miner was the best! Thanks Greg!!!

The morning started with a beautiful wine tasting in the heart of a cave. The table was well decorated and the room was a great temperature. You could smell the wood barrels throughout the space. Our guide, Greg, was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge about the winery and wine in general, added to our beautiful experience of tasting fabulous wines. We couldn’t help ourselves and purchased several vintages of the Oracle. No regrets here! Thank you so much for the hospitality, everyone! It was fabulous.

I was just on line looking for bottles of Oracle, older vintages. I found a 2003 for 79.00. The winery charged me 265.00 a bottle a year of so ago. What the hell. I went on their website, suggested sell 65.00. Besides feeling like a fool, I will never spend another dime there. If you are interested in their wine, buy online.

We happened upon Miner Winery a few years ago. We loved each wine they poured. We decided to join the wine club. The place does get busy but if you grab a comfy seat outside or find a spot inside the tasting room and relax you wI'll have a great experience. The service is wonderful & staff are super friendly. The pick up parties are welcoming. The view is beautiful. There is a tasting fee if you are not a member, but I is Napa. Go and Enjoy!
