Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a good Farmer's Market. They meet on FRIDAYS from 8am to 2pm(or later?). It is 3 short Blocks from the 12th Street BART station, and 2 blocks from the HEART of Oakland's Chinatown.
My 2 Favorite spots are a florist and a TAMALE maker. The florist is usually at the South East corner of 9th Street and Washington. The All Star Tamales is usually on Washington St, between 9th and 8th Streets, on the South side. There are good choices for fruits and veggies. Swan's Market is on the corner, and it has fresh seafood and a butcher, plus interesting restaurants.

Lots of interesting foods, fruits and vegetables...beautiful to see oranges bright orange and so ready to eat, cauliflower in all its different colors, chocolate, pizza, hummus, pasta, not to mention the delicious apple-pomegranate cider I had.

Great farmer's market covering four blocks in Old Oakland every Friday between 11 -2. Good prices and selection of vendors for fruits and veggies, including organic. A variety of musicians perform. Popular food trucks, vendors for artisan cheeses and chocolates, flower and artwork. The location is only a short 5-10 min walk from the 12th St BART and across Broadway from Chinatown. Lots of great places to eat in Old Oakland and Chinatown. Plenty of parking lots and garages, though most drivers seem to troll around for the limited street parking. The streets are blocked off for car traffic. Tip -- if you shop close to 2pm, many of the fruit and veg sellers will drop their prices to move the produce.

This is a good market, not the biggest in Oakland, but worthwhile as it is one of the few places one can buy good food downtown. Nice place to stroll around. And Old Oakland is charming, but small.

This is a good farmer's market for fruits and vegies. There are not many places to buy food downtown, so this is an oasis. Make note of the days when it is open.

According to some locals, this is an ongoing Oakland tradition, which occurs every Friday. How wonderful. There were stalls with fresh produce and stalls for drinks and food of various cuisines. Some folks were seated in the central seating area. A busker was playing her guitar entertaining folks. Lively place.

We walked through here on a Saturday morning, and it was a peaceful, wonderful experience. Lots of beautiful fresh produce from all over northern California. A good selection of hot food to choose from, and a great place to bring kids.

Lots of veggies for Asian cuisine. Sandwiches and handmade Jewelry for sale. Streets blocked off for foot traffic. Stumbled upon it on my way to the BART station. Pleasant surprise.

Well laid out, music and a great vibe, Within a few blocks of the the water, with the sun shining and a slight breeze off the bay.. The vendors were smiling and wanted patrons to sample their offerings. The crowd was manageable and all attending were seeming to enjoy themselves. We bought veggies but enjoyed coffee and pastries on site. As there are several farmers markets
in town each has there own personality. All seem to be very good to excellent. This one is on the higher side of any rating.
