We arrived in the afternoon on a Wednesday in May. The doors were locked but there were recorded scripts available on a couple of the buildings. We saw 3 different jails! A lot for a tiny town. We appreciate the effort that the volunteers made...More

This looks like a fun place to spend a couple hours. Unfortunately it is only open seasonally so be careful when you go. We tried to visit on March 14, but it was all shut down.

There are recorded messages at most of the buildings that will tell you the history of what you see. There's a lot there, but take your time and check out all the treasures they have.

Lyman House historical home in the area which is open sometimes. There are local festivities there. Several outbuildings. Looks like an old western town.

It is a very informative. The history of this area is really interesting. The staff in the buildings are well versed in era. They dress for the period.
