We parked next to the museum by chance so popped in for a bit of local history. The museum is small but well filled with cool cowboy memorabilia and lots of information on the growth of ranching in the area. It's good for its size...but it is small! It's free, only asking for a donation. The staff were really friendly... More

One of the Carillo family [well known locally]serves as a hostess and will explain some of the items to tender feet that happen by.

Excellent stop for anyone interested in the cowboy history of "The Cowboy Capitol of the World"! When you finish there you can mosey over to the favoured watering hole of the locals, the H-B Saloon (that's pronounced 'H bar B' for you non-cowboy types!)

I was hoping the museum would have more to offer in regards to the historical history of Oakdale but it did not.

Cool place to stop by and see all the wonderfull pictures and items of old, a perfect addition to stopping in the H-B saloon, or restaurant, next door.

If you love horses, beautiful old saddles, and cowboy and rodeo nostalgia, this place is for you! I loved learning about the ranching history of Oakdale and the beautiful life size statue of a cowboy and his horse just outside.

This museum housed in the old train station is a gem. It's changing displays promote the cowboy way of life. I highly recommend you stop by.

Interesting museum about local rodeo/ranches in the area. Some great saddles that were won in competition over the years. It's a small museum but very interesting for a local history. Donations Very friendly lady working, was more than happy to share information about the museum and area rodeo winners.

Thank Gloria S
