Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Took my 94 year old Mom as a belated b-day gift to see the Cadette's and what a blast we had. This is a must go to place for anyone that loves live theater...really wonderful time

We enjoyed "The Dress Rehearsal of the Malt Shop Cafe" so much, we came back with our family and friends to see it again 2 weeks later. It was a very fun show - enjoyed by the whole family.

My husband and I attend several of the musical comedies at Off Broadstreet theatre almost every month. It is well worth the drive us. It is such a fun place!!! The owners (John and Jan) are wonderful hosts. The staff are fabulous, friendly, professional and very customer service oriented. Throughout the musical comedy, my husband and I are laughing, clapping or singing along to the songs being sang by the amazing actors!!! Oh and if you arrive early around 7:15'ish their guitar player is very entertaining as well. It is truly an amazing experience, if you enjoy clean fun, enjoy laughing and music from the 50s to the 90s. I highly recommend this place! Since the theatre only serves desserts during intermission, there are lots of restaurants nearby for an early dinner. I suggest that you make your reservations early. They book up fast.

We went to see Forever Plaid. Lots of fun 70s costumes and songs. A couple songs were too loud and a couple seemed wrong for the singer's voice/vocal range. The actors were enthusiastic and seemed to enjoy interacting with the audience. I especially enjoyed the a capella numbers - great harmonies! There were drinks and desserts for purchase during intermission, which looked very tempting, but we had had a large dinner and weren't hungry.

An old fashioned original musical experience. Set up like a cabaret with small tables. The entertainment features mostly original musicals written by the owners with fresh and enthusiastic local performers. Great desserts offered during intermission. It's always a fun evening.

Enjoyed the story and all of the great songs that were sung by the 5 gals in this production. The props, including the Home Economics and Singer Guide books were funny. The drinks and desserts were good, but are optional.

Off Broadstreet was rebuilt after the great fire in 2002. Now it's even better than before! Great for family fun. Enjoy a dinner right next door before or after the show at Friar Tucks.

Our friends asked us to join them for a musical evening and it was simply great. The theater is a large room with small tables and dim lighting that makes it feel cozy and warm. There was a single performer with a guitar singing some oldies and some songs that he wrote while the audience were taking their seats in the room. This is when the waitresses come so you can order your drinks, coffee, soda, beer or wine. The show we saw was "Forever Plaid", basically four perfectly matched voices singing wonderful music. At the break you are served a choice of delicious desserts made by local bakeries. Payment for the evening show and refreshments is at the end of the performance. This is the 27th year this home-town theatre has been in operation. Most of the performers are locals...talented people that perform at professional levels. The four men who played in this production also sing together as The Consolations Vocal Band...would love to hear them perform again.

You don't go to Off Broadstrret for comfortable chairs or a great play/ story. But if you like "oldies" music, good voices, & some great desserts from Paulette's at intermission you should enjoy your evening here. Most of their offerings are John Driscoll originals (one of the owners) but they also occasionally do other musicals (Angry Housewifes, Always Patsy Cline, etc.). Their latest offering, Par Four at the Masters, was delightful.
