This is the TNF headquarters and provides info about recreational possibilites (fishing, off road travel, campgrounds, hunting, activities etc. They also have maps and sell firewood permits. There are some displays worth a stop here.

Recently moved to the Tahoe Natl Forest & stopped in to get info about regulations, safety, recreation, etc. Ranger had little to no information to offer about the forest. Just said "i don't know" & pointed to flyers in the office, annoyed. Was hoping for...More

We drive through often and I am always impressed with the beauty of the mountains and the whispering pines. I am so glad we have the National Forests and we are preserving the beauty and grandeur.
