Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very rushed tasting, the person attending to us barely describe the wines. The winery charges $65 for the tasting and provided us with some of their cheaper and frankly not very good wines. One white wine was selling for $11 a bottle and was not very good at all. I have tasted wines at over 50 wineries on three continents and I would rate my tasting overall at this winery as the very worst in terms of quality of wine served, quality of the experience and the overall dismissiveness of more than one staff member of the winery and their general unwillingness to answer questions about the winery or the wines. I would go to other wineries in Napa, Sonoma, dry creek or Russian river valley.

Staff was amazing. Very accommodating. I made a reservation mistakenly for the wrong day but they were able to fit me in. The presentation of tasting post reopening very classy. They are utilizing all the beautiful space they have outdoors given the new regulations. Doing a wonderful job navigating the new normal. Shout out to Eric and Sabrina who made our experience!

We biked around Yountville on our own, and even though I had read bookings were mandatory for most wineries, we had hoped to be able to pop in here and there. Luckily at Robert Sinskey winery walk-ins are welcome. We tried 5 very nice wines + some very delicious snacks. The sun was shining and the scenery beautiful. Staff was very friendly and made conversation easy. We were offered 3 extra wines to try without extra charge. We recommend Robert Sinskey winery and wines to others.

The reason for this five-star review is definitely subjective. It wasn't crazy fancy. The service wasn't spectacular, but in my opinion the number of wines that for me tasted exceptional was shocking. Left this place with more bottles than I've ever picked from a single winery over many years of mini tastings. I love to visit smaller to medium, unique and different wineries and I try to go to different ones every time I visit. But I will definitely go here again

RSV is a very nice boutique winery on the Silverado Trail. This is a smaller but very interesting Organic winery known for its reds. The founder (Robert Sinskey) is a famous ophthalmologist from Santa Monica, CA
After 20 years, Robert Sinskey’s philosophy is that “Wine is not an athletic event” holds true to this day. His goal has always been to make “pure wines of character that pair well with cuisine”.
Was pleasantly surprised at how warm and inviting this place was. It was easy to find, easy to make a reservation at, and the staff was friendly and warm.

This is a review of Sinskey's service for customers who are not at the winery. I have never been to the winery.
Sinskey wines are fabulous and I am a long-term fan of the POV. The customer service via online ordering is poor and finding the wine in many States is extremely difficult. Sinskey's representation in Louisiana, Texas, and Georgia has been non-responsive. I've been trying to send several cases as gifts this year and I'm working my rear end off to find where I can buy it, other than through Sinskey's online site. Please fix the distribution issues.

Spacious outdoor seating facing the vineyards. They have an amazing selection of wines; deliciously baked goods made on site to pair with the wines and knowledgeable sommeliers. Overall great service 🥂

I’m pretty stingy about handing out 5-stars for locations like this – but I have to say I was extremely impressed. We signed up for The Perfect Circle Tour which is a 3-course culinary tasting while you tour through the buildings, vineyard and wine cellar. This is their top end offering, with a maximum of 8 people in the tour, either at 11am or 1pm. For our session there were just 5 of us.
Guided by the knowledgeable Katie, we started in the kitchen herb and vegetable garden, sampling some of the homegrown food, paired up with a nice white – the Abraxis. I particularly appreciated one of the cooks coming out to speak with us, explaining their sourcing and their use of the various foods and flavors. It was a nice touch, especially when she was willing to answer my total rookie questions.
We then had a nice unhurried tour of the wine facilities and cellars, and ended up sitting at a large table in the cellar for the main courses. The food was excellent, notably the lamb – and really helped to set off the flavors of the reds. My personal favorite was the Vandal Pinot Noir.
It’s not a cheap tour – list price is $95 per person. Yet I felt we were treated as honored guests, we were not rushed or pressured to buy any wine, and every single member of staff was willing and able to help us. You have to be a bit of a foodie (or be married to one) to fully appreciate the 2 hours but overall it was one of the major highlights of our Napa trip.
Highly recommended. If you find this useful please hit that “helpful” button nearby!!

Went here based on a recommendation for good pinot in Napa. I thought the wines were good. The tastings were low cost at $25 which includes some almonds, olives, cheese costini and a mini tart.
But they serve the wine in very small glasses and the pours are about .3 of an ounce. So with the 4 pours plus their bonus cabernet pour at the end you realize you have barely tasted any wine.
Now I am not in Napa to get drunk but wine evolves in the glass and with a .3 ounce pour, you get the initial sip and that is all.

We enjoyed their special Eat Drink RSV tasting with food at Robert Sinskey Winery.
We did it as a lunch at 12:30.
We enjoyed
1) Almonds with Garden Herbs, "Bagels and Lox" appetizer
Served with Pinot Blanc, Los Carneros, 2012
2) Fairytale Squash Soup with Fried Sage
Served with Abrexas, Vin de Terrain, Scintella Sonoma Vineyard, Los Carneros, 2012
We also got to see a fairytale squash.
This was also our favorite wine.
3) Parmesan Shortbread, and Gougeres with Porcini Mornay
It was paired with Pinot Noir, Los Carnerous Napa Valley, 2013
4) RSV Lamb, Piperade, Eggplant, Arugula
Served with POV Las Vernos, Napa Valley, 2012
and
SLD, Cabernet Sauvignon, Stags Leap District, Napa Valley 2011
We also had a small pumpkin tort taste.
With the food and wine pairings perfectly matched it was a very nice time.
We also enjoyed talking with others at our table and also our host.
We booked on the web site in advance.
Note: The food and wine pairings may be different from the ones we enjoyed.

We did the tour, wine and meal pairing in the "library" well worth it, our favorite tasting in Napa. I think it was $95.00?
