Jarvis Estate is a family owned winery dedicated to crafting a limited quantity of preeminent wines from our sustainably farmed, estate vineyards in the rugged hillside, four miles east of downtown Napa Valley. The Jarvis Estate winemaking facility is entirely contained within 45,000 square feet of cave tunneled into the scenic Vaca Mountains, and is not only a visual masterpiece, but a technical masterpiece as well. Wines are produced only from estate grown grapes and are cave-aged to perfection prior to release. Varietals include: Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Verdot, Tempranillo and a two proprietary Bordeaux blends.

Absolutely awesome tour in a hillside cave/winery. Rob (tour guide) was extremely knowledgeable. Very beautiful tasting room with many nice selections. This was the highlight of our weekend!

Beyond expectations. A winery built in the side of a mountain, under ground. We were 3 families with adult children, eleven in all. Absolutely need a reservation well in advance. Well worth the price and some of the finest wine I ever sampled.Loved it so...More

We enjoyed a second visit at Jarvis even more than the first time earlier this summer. Tom was out host for the day and is both knowledgeable about wine and the consummate host! He provided a nice tour of the winery and history and then...More

Visited on the heals of the wildfires that struck Napa Valley and wasn't sure what I'd find when I arrived. The entire winery is within the mountain. A unique place to visit, they're serious about their product. Enjoyed the visit, enough so to order wines.

..it would look like Jarvis! This is no exaggeration: the Jarvis winery was built inside a series of tunnels and caverns of various sizes, hollowed out from the volcanic tuff (compacted ash) that comprises much of the soil in local region! Situated up on a...More

I will let you read the previous very detailed reviews which were spot on. Cora was an exceptional hostess, the wines superb and with generous pours, and the conversation very entertaining. Definitely worth the visit and look forward to receiving my shipment.

We were fortunate enough to visit many high end wineries during a trip to Napa Valley; Stags Leap, Silver Oak, Chimney Rock, Far Niente, etc., all nice but not a match for Jarvis. The entire wine making process occurs within a vast cave complex with...More

My husband planned a surprise birthday trip for me to Napa and picked out almost all of the wineries we’d visit. He read reviews and looked at websites and came up with a very diverse list of six. Our third scheduled stop was Jarvis. This...More

Our tour guide was just great, I think his name was Tom, he is actually of Cuban descent although he looks gringo lol. This is a must see winery and the wines are unlike any others we had! Delicious!

Google Maps or Apple's mapping app will locate and take you to Jarvis, fairly easily. Look for the gated entrance on your left as you approach the upper limits of the mountain road. It's a pretty drive. As for the tasting... More
