Did this awesome food tour today in Murphys. Total group size was under 10, we hit two restaurants, two wineries, one cupcake shop, one specialty beer/wine shop, one ice cream shop, and an olive oil/balsamic tasting bar. Of equal interest to us were the additional historic stops, parks, local hotels etc. Our guide was friendly, informative, and engaging. We got... More

We recently bought a cabin in Arnold and we're wanting to get to know our surrounding area, including Murphys. We decided to check out this tour based on TA's many positive reviews. Wow!!! We couldn't have been more impressed. As you'll read from other reviews, there are plenty of delicious food/beer/wine tastings that are offered throughout this experience. Each was... More

Two girlfriends and I just went on this tour for one girl's 30th birthday in February. Tanya led the group of 7 people. The meeting point was easy to find and all of the parking in Murphys is free, so by parking alone...we were already off on a good note. Tanya was an excellent tour guide. She's originally from the... We joined guide Tonja late on a fall Saturday morning in downtown Murphys. Our tour began at Alchemy where we enjoyed a half order of deep fried calamari, accompanied by a Belgian beer. Next stop was Lila & Sage where we were able to choose our own cupcake! Murphys history accompanied our walk and next stop was Hovey Winery where... More

This tour was a wonderful way to see Murphys thru the eyes of a local. Tonja was a great guide thru the town and obviously knows the town and many of the people. It is a nice overview of the food and wine / beer available in this small community and at the same time getting the history of the... More

Great tour! Tonja was our guide and since she was a local, everyone knew her in this quaint, small Gold Rush town and she knew a lot about the history here. We Started at Gold Country Coffee Roasters, which was an extra stop that we asked to go on so it was not included in the tour. Since Tonja is... More

We had a wonderful walking tour in Murphys with Tanya Who was informative, friendly and obviously loved the town of Murphys. Although the tour takes around 3 hours it is gentle slowed paced and mostly in the shade and plenty of rest room opportunities. This is definitely a tour for adults as it involves wine and beer tasting. We made... More

I learned some history of the area, tried some food I hadn't had before, and came away with lots of memories. Lisa was an excellent guide and fun to be with. We were a group of 12 with differing interests, and she was able to handle them all. If you ever have a chance to take this tour---do!

How awesome this tour was. The food was wonderful and served by informative and energetic purveyors, especially 2012 Cupcake Wars winner, Karen. Our guide Lisa, made the history of Murphys come alive. She was humorous and fun and so much the perfect hostess for our 3 member Gal-Pal adventure we considered adding her as a fourth. Murphys is rich in... More

I am addicted to the food tour. This is the second that I enjoyed. My mom, sister, and I enjoyed this tour on a Saturday. We had the tour to ourselves. We visited 9 places in Murphys and learned some history along the way. The food we ate was delicious and the experiences and walk were fun. This is an... More
