Great way to see otters, seals, sea lions, and lots of birds. Captain and naturalist were very knowledgeable. The ride is very smooth, and they have activities to keep kids occupied, too. Lots of opportunities for taking photos. Highly recommended.

I recently needed to travel to Monterey on business and hoped to incorporate some nature photography into my trip. I contacted Stan at Elkhart Slough Safari and he was very helpful. I rented the boat and captain for a coupe of hours and came away with a very nice portfolio of sea otter pictures including two pups of different ages,... More

My third Safari. All have been excellent . Over 41 species of birds plus the harbor seals and otter. Austin was amazing and had great support from The Captain and several advanced birders...They all helped point the rest of us in the right direction.

This "safari" along the Elkhorn Slough is right up there with the Monterey Bay Aquarium for us. The Captain and our Naturalist were both knowledgeable and patient with the guests questions. We have done this trip many times and will be back again. Do t miss this trip when visiting the Monterey Bay Area,

The Elkhorn Slough Safari is a great way to view the natural habitat of birds, otters, sea lions and harbor seals. The flat bottom boat glides slowly through the water giving passengers an ample amount of time to spot, view and photograph various wildlife that live in and along the water. You will have an up-front and up-close look at... More

we used Elkhorn, now that's all we talk about. you can take the other site seeing tours, if you want to be in a cattle call, full of people, bull horn in your ear, mass noise, OR you can take this tour, on a quiet electric boat, smooth ride, only a few people per tour even if its booked full.

Another great trip from Moss Landing, Monterey. Great crew with lots of information of the local habitat. Binocular hire was available on the boat along with free coffee.

This two hour boat trip up and down the Elkhorn Slough is a great wildlife experience. You can see plenty of otters, sea lions and seals. On a lucky day, you may be able to see an otter munching on a clam, or an otter mom with a pup, or a couple of young otters practicing their "water polo" skills.... More

This was a great experience. Saw what I came to see - and lots to see. About a two hour excursion in the Elkhorn Slough gave us opportunities to see so many otters, amazing birds, including a rare white pelican with 9 foot wing span, seals and sea lions. The Captain and Naturalist on board were friendly and informative. Dress... More
