This used to be a hidden gem, but now the place is overcrowded. The cost on the city must be a burden because now they are charging money to use the outdoor shower for cleaning sanding feet and bodies.

The park is only a short walk from the main part of town. Along the way there are signs explaining the ecology of the estuary. We also saw quite a few otters and seals. Worth the time.
