lovely surf and sand, few people

Having Morro Bay and Morro rock adjacent to each other on the causeway to Morro Rock gives two very different waterfront activities a few hundred yards from each other.

If you need a quiet place to think, or reflect, thesis a good spot. Its not crowded, its quiet, and beautiful.

Take your time, walk for miles! This beach is still pristine. I have been coming here for forty years, and it's still clean and glorious. The biggest difference seems to be that there are fewer seashells. One star removed because it gets quite windy -- so bring layers. Just what a beach should be!

We spent a better part of Christmas day 2015 hiking the beach at Morro Bay. The sand was clean, the tide was out, and the wind was calm and it was sunny until a small rain squall blew in. It was good we brought rain coats. There were surfers braving the cold water. The huge rock outcropping makes a wonderful... More

One of the nice beach to walk around to chill. Stop over at the beach for a short walk. Refreshing experience for the family.

This is a long flat sandy beach that is ideal for walking or jogging along the shoreline where strings of wve after wave lap onto the beach. It is wide and never crowded, perhaps due to the chilly weather with wind and mist coming off the sea. The water is a bit to cold for swimming and the surf is... More

We spent an hour or so walking on Morro Beach. It is a wide flat beach with the huge rock at one end. It is beautiful there. I found many sand dollars, some I was able to collect. Great way to spend some time.

Had fun watching all the surfers. Huge expanse of beach with rolling surf, however the waves can come in really far and quick. We saw a couple of people caught out by the incoming water and having to run to stop getting their feet wet - so beware! We had a lot of fun watching this!

Lots of parking. Few amenities and it is a walk to the water. In the shade or Morro rock in the afternoon. Very windy most of the time. The beauty is something else
