A two day painting workshop en plein air. Physically this is a small contained area with tourists and locals. It never felt crowded or too busy. Boats came and went, kayaks silently slipped by, the sun moved overhead casting new shadows for the painters. Lunch...More

Went out for tour on bay, after launching boat we went into estuary on high tide, best time to go. Busy with kayaking and fishermen. We were just enjoying the sites and it was a great tour.

Read about the history of the "morro" and be sure to go and walk around. The otters including three moms with babies were adorable.

If you want to be in downtown Morro Bay the Estero Inn is very nice. For a quite more intimate location with an awesome view of the changing tide try the Back Bay Inn.
