Drove 17mile drive but should hug the shoreline only. We wasted for 30 min total on mountain road. Use FWY1 to return. Entrance fee was $10 for visitor.

The drive along 17 Mile Drive was very pleasant. We especially enjoyed the view of the alone Cypress tree, watching otters cavort in the bay, seeing the company lur changes in the water as it ebbed and flowed, and wandering around the Pebble Beach shops.

The drive takes you past beautiful homes, and golf courses like the famous Pebble Beach. Continue along the drive and shoreline, stop at the Seal Rock and see dozens of barking seals. See the symbol of the 17 Mile and the Carmel/Monterey region - the Lone Pine. Exit through the Carmel gate and stop by to see the shops in... More

It's pretty but they do charge you. You can get out and look around and if you are into photography it's a great drive kiddos might get bored it starts in Monterey and ends in Carmel on ocean dr and that is a cool street with a beautiful beach at the end and lots of shopping and food

Unbelievable views of the ocean! You have many chances to stop and take photos. It is worth the $10 it costs to drive on this road!

If you are going to Monterey, Carmel or Pacific Grove, you must do this! This is an absolutely amazing drive. There was not one stop that was not breathtaking! It will cost you $10 to access this drive, but it is well worth it!

When you visit the Monterey Bay area this is one area that should not be missed. There are so many area's you can view. You can park your car and get out and enjoy such view's as the Lone Cypress, a 250 year old tree which is supported by steel cables. The drive is very awesome. There are so many... More

This was a peaceful and pleasant drive after doing the Aquarium - shame you have to lay out $10 to see nature ! Plenty of places to stop and admire the view
