We went for lunch and many places had value set lunches of $10+ per pax. There are cute and quaint shops and we could soak in the Christmas atmosphere. Good place to stop for a meal when visiting monterey.

So much to see and do and so many restaurants to try and we did. All handing our samples of chowder and candy. Bought some caramel popcorn so delicious that I am now ordering it online. Fresh seafood and shops, too. Lots going !

It’s a pleasant place to walk about and take in the seascape, the boats, nets and nautical items - plus smell the salt air. More modern, thus not as authentic as SF Fisherman’s Wharf, it’s still pretty nice.
Fun place to walk along and visit the shops and restaurants. All the restaurants brag their clam chowder is the BEST, they even give you a free taste so you can compare.
