For my time and effort I'd suggest sticking close to Mendocino; especially the oceanside walks in the headlands. Don't waste your time driving to glass beach in Ft. Bragg. Kind of ugly and full of tourists.

Really beautiful coastline, I loved the cliffs and bluffs most of all, but some great beaches - Bowling Ball Beach is not to be missed

Love the mendocino coast. Usually visit every 2 yrs. Wonderful art communities thru out and the eclectic group of locals.

When in Mendocino this walk is a must-even on blustery days. This rocky coast is a photographers dream site

I've seen the stunning Cape Cod National Seashore many times. The Pacific Seashore had been on my bucket list, & it did not disappoint. It was even more magnificent than I had imagined. The rugged cliffs & coves @ Mendocino were particularly colorful & beautiful as the high waves crashed against them. I love ❤️ that sound. I took videos... More

Walk the headlands or walk/bike 12 mile paved bike path along ocean north of Ft Bragg. Stop in North Coast Brewery Restaurant in Ft Bragg for great food, service, ambience and micro brews

It's real purdy in this area. Lots of ocean and trees and mountains and big sky. The towns have gone downhill though.

We visited Fort Bragg a few miles north and went to the Glass Beach and Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden. Both places have gorgeous views of the ocean and vegetation and are great places to spend the day. The walking is not difficult. Fort Bragg has a lot of restaurants, and we ate lunch there. We also took a whale watch... More

This was the first time my wife and I visited the Mendocino area. The views are beautiful along the coast. The town itself is quite small. Lots of tourist shops and small restaurants. Culture and quaint.
