Great beach and safe!
Apr. 2021
Loved it here! Parking is plenty and inexpensive. If you prefer not to pay, there is residential parking as well that is pretty close to the beach but further away from the shops. They had mask enforcers in high walking areas. The beach was big enough for everyone to distance. Great place to run and walk. My kids loved it!

Don't go

The beach is pretty but the people are awful. They're entitled, stuck up, rude, and lack basic respect! Sad! Redondo/Torrance has much kinder people. I even heard fights when I was trying to sleep at night, how disgusting.

Beautiful Views and Area
Nov. 2020
Stopped here on a blustery Saturday morning before our flight out of LAX. Walked to pier and stuck toes in the sand and saw the Pacific Ocean. Beautiful views. Parked about 2 blocks above the beach and walked down. 24 minute maximum parking - not sure why limit but made it back before ticketed. Pretty area and pier and ocean cool to see,.

Great beach city
Oct. 2020 • Couples
What is there not to like, wonderful pier, variety of great restaurants, a walk on the strand or beach, surfers and people sunbathing. The city requires everyone to wear a mask inside and out so we always felt safe.

Very pretty town
Dec. 2019
We went in December and it wasn’t very warm so we strolled by the ocean and admired the gorgeous houses and day dreamed of living here one day :). It’s a nice beach area not far from LA. We took a Lyft there on our lady day knowing we would have been going back to airport, which is very close.

Manhattan beach is the cutest beach town that has all you would want and need walking around downtown to have breakfast, lunch, dinner, shopping, dessert, walk along the strand, pier, aquarium at the end of the pier, watch sunrise/sunset, dolphin/seal lion watch from the pier, bike path...we love it! It’s a must see!

Walking along the beach at the early morning hours I was amazed of the people out before their work day out enjoying the sun rise and cool morning air.

MB big time beach. Small town feel
Mar. 2020 • Family
The greatest beach spot in SoCal. MB is no longer a sleepy little beach town. But maybe it is. We just had our downtown baseball little league parade complete with the mayor in a convertible mustang. The fire truck. The Mira costa marching band. And cheering parents. Small town. You bet!! Always a great time for the locals and their friends. If you are lucky and can recognize them. You can spot celebrities and professional athletes hanging out at Starbucks and coffee bean. Or walking and running on the strand. Highly recommend!! @nickellfamilytravel
