Beautiful pier in a gorgeous setting

We visited the pier on a showery day recently but despite this the pier maintained its charm amidst a beautiful seaside backdrop

The parking is easy at this pier, but expensive. Plan on $15 during the day and $10 at night. There isn't really anything on the pier except for a very good restaurant, Malibu Farm, and some expensive shops. However, the views are lovely and the local fisherman are interesting to watch.

This is the perfect place for a lazy day. It so relaxed and unassuming but so beautiful at the same time, which makes it a must to visit if you come to LA.

You have got to experience this if you ever make it to the side of California. My husband and I rented a car and we drove the highway up to Malibu just in time to watch the most magnificent sunset... In December people :-) people just parked their motor homes on the side of the highway and camped there. We... More

We stopped at the Malibu Pier the other day just to get a look at the sunset. Well the sun was hidden behind some clouds and land so the sunset was not that great. We managed to grab a few drinks and wander down the pier for a spell. Plenty of action on the pier, and what looks like a... More

I come to the pier to eat whenever I have a visitor from out of town because not only is the food delicious and organic but you get a real feel of being out on the ocean. Admittedly the chairs are awful...plastic and uncomfortable... (the biggest problem), but otherwise it's a great place to eat and especially in the summer... More

Malibu is a beautiful place to visit! Absolutely loved the drive from L.A. Some good little restaurants along the way.

A very pleasant place to visit. The pier has a coffee shop at the start and a restaurant and the end. Both are very nice although neither did coffee and cake. There is also a great little shop at the end with an old pinball machine which you can play for free

We walked over here from Adamson house and surfrider's beach. This is a good area to park and spend half a day with the local attractions. The pier has a couple of restaurants which offer breakfast, lunch and dinner options. We were here on a beautiful, warm November day. There were a lot of people fishing and it was fun... More

Staying in Malibu

Neighbourhood Profile
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
