This preserve has expanded with more trails and a wonderful bird watching blind on the water. This is NOT a playground for little kids although they certainly can learn from the visit. Dogs are prohibited and while that may seem unfriendly, this is a nature...More

My wife and I just took a trip to San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay, didn't even know that this place existed before we came. We ran into a local resident who is big into birding and he pointed us in this direction. Definitely did...More

I decided to stop by here and check it out, it was a pleasant walk near the water. I only saw three other people while I was there. Nice views of Baywood-Los Osos and across to Morro Bay. I saw a few birds, one lizard,...More

This is a small and quite place to take a walk. We spent 1 hour walking and viewing. We did not see many birds (just ducks). But it is a sweet place for a short walk. Not the highlight of our trip, but certainly this...More

Went here last weekend while staying in Morro Bay. Was hoping to see birds but, hardly saw any. Still a nice walk and appreciate the wooden pathways in certain sections and the info signs that described the types of birds seen in the area.

Since I have lived here all my life I have been coming to this preserve along time. It is a special place to see the views and wildlife. It has been improved in the trails and bridges. It’s not a large area but is enjoyable....More

Lots of birds, and since they have recently outlawed dogs it is more friendly for the wildlife. It's a small park so it won't take too much time.

What a lovely discovery! This small reserve (about 30 acres) is an island of peace and quiet and the home to more types of birds than I could count. I was there for a little over an hour and saw at least two dozen different...More

This is an Audubon site so the area is protected including no dogs allowed. Bring binoculars for spotting birds in the trees as well as watching the shore birds. January is a good time to spot migratory birds!
